Maya's Story

Chapter three: Threat in the forest.

This morning, Tavington was having breakfast and then it was rudely interrupted.

The Doorman said "Sir, there's a messenger here and he is asking for you."

Tavingtong replied "Let him in"

The Doorman said "Yes, Sir"

The Doorman leaves to go bring the messenger into the dining room. The doorman enters the dining room.

Tavington said "Speak"

The messenger replied "I have a message for you, from the Werewolf King."

Tavington said "Okay, tell me this message."

The Messenger replied " You, King Tavington, have pissed off the werewolf king and have broke the treaty and he has declared war."

Tavington sighed, he had completely forgotten about the treaty. He dismissed the messenger. Tavington wasn't happy about this situation at all. The last thing, he needed was a war, he needed a solution and fast.

 Maya was almost home, she had a while to go yet though. But she was very excited to be home. She got within the city limits and headed straight for the castle. Maya had found out, she was pregnant a few months ago. Vampire pregnancy's, go faster than human pregnancy's. So, she was due in a couple of days.

Maya put Serenity in the stables and gave her food. After, she made sure, Serenity was fully taken care of, she headed towards the castle.

It felt like yesterday, when she was leaving to go and find her mother's side of the family. Nothing, had changed much, expect for the staff. As, she walked into the family room, she found her father sitting at his desk. Maya could tell he was deep in thought.

Maya said " Hello Father."

Her father looked up startled and said " Maya, what are you doing here?"

Maya lied and replied " Well, we got back early and I wanted to visit you."

Her father said "Well, that's nice"

Maya replied "So, what's going on?"

Her father said " Well, years ago, when I was foolish. I made a bet with a Werewolf King. Well, I lost and promised that you would marry his son. And we made a peace treaty to be allies. However, since I married you off to Percy instead. I broke part of the treaty. But I wasn't going to let you be married off to some filthy werewolf pup."

Maya said "Well, father maybe we could find someone else that he could marry?"

Her father replied " If only that were so easy, Maya"

Maya said "Well, there's Penny and she's related to me"

Her father replied "Okay, find Penny and I will try to convince the werewolf king to hold out"

Maya and her father walked out to the stables. Maya saddled up, Serenity and her father saddled up Amenity. They headed out, in different directions.

Maya knew exactly where to find Penny. Penny was her step cousin from her mother's side of the family.

Tavington needed to talk with the Werewolf King. He was lost in thought, that he didnt realize, he had crossed into their territory, Until, he heard some low growls.

Tavington said "Bring me to your king, for I need to speak to him."

The Wolves escorted Tavington and his horse to the front steps. Some more wolves came to escort Tavington to the main hall.

The king's messenger replied " Your majesty, King Tavington Winchester is here"

King William replied "Let him in"
