Part 12 - Staying up

Midoriya POV

Its been a day since the incident, which when you think about it. Isn't that long. But every since that day Todoroki has been acting different. He seems..far away..more distant then usual. I wish he would have told me what happened..but he says hes not ready yet.

We are at the shops right now, looking around for stuff to buy.
I see a shop I particularly like. I tug on Shouto's sleeve.
"Look! Over there, can we go in there?"
He looks at where im pointing, then looks back at me.
"Seriously? You go there all the time!" He says.
"Lets go somewhere else.." he says pulling me away.
"Awe come on!! Its my All Might merch!"
Todoroki chuckles at my comment.
I frown as i feel him dragging me away. I look around for other shops when i see Bakugo and Kirishima. Shouto hasn't seemed to notice them yet so i call for them.
"Hey Bakugo! Kirishima!" I yell waving my hand in the air. Kirishima looks over, looking through the stack of bags he's holding.
"Oh hey Midoriya!" He says, grabbing Bakugo by the wrist dragging him over.
"Todoroki! How you going?" He asks.
Shouto nods.
"Im doing good..thanks"
"Come on Bakugo! Say hi!" Kirishima says nudging him in the shoulder.
He groans and says hi to us.
Wow, how is he putting up with that? Bakugo wouldn't let someone talk to him like that-
I see Bakugo glance over at Todoroki, inspecting the bandages on his neck before looking away.
"You healing well..?" Bakugo mumbles.
We seem surprised by his question. It takes a few seconds for Todoroki to respond,
"Yea they are..thanks Bakugo.." he replies. 
"Anyway! We gotta go and bring this stuff back.  Says Kirishima.
"Why did we even have to buy so much shit?!" Bakugo practically yells at Kirishima. He just chuckles.
"Its for the party the class is having! We need everything!!"
"Yea yea, whatever"
Bakugo grabs Kirishima's hand and pulls him away.
"Bye guys!!" Kirishima says.
"Bye!!" I say, Shouto just waves.
When they walk far away from us Shouto asks me,
"the class is having a party?"
"Yea! Didn't you hear, it was yester- oh yea..you weren't here yesterday"
"Oh when?"
"Tomorrow! The whole class is gonna try and stay up late!"
"Sounds fun" he says
I smile at him. "
We should buy some stuff for the party!" I say pulling him away.
"B-but Kirishima!"
"Who cares! Kirishima wasn't holding any food!"

...

We walk out of the shops, holding nothing but food and snacks.
"We really dont need to eat that much.." says Shouto looking at the food we're holding.
Yea but this is for the whole class!"
He takes a bag of small snacks from my hands and opens it.
"Hey!" I say
He laughs and eats the snacks in his hand.
I steal one from him and pop it in my mouth,
"Heyy!!" He says
"Well I bought that one! So i get to eat it to!" I say.
"Ew i dont want your germs in my chips!" He says, nudging me.
"Says the one that was in hospital yesterday!"
He chuckles and keeps on eating.
I see him pop on in his mouth and look at me. I take this as an opportunity and bite it from his mouth.
He gets startled and blushes a bit.
I look at him and giggle.
We finally come home and place the snacks on the counter, where the other stuff for the party is.
The others are already setting up.
"Wait- isn't that party tomorrow?" I ask
"Yea but its long weekend! So we might as well do it today" Kaminari says.
"Oh okay.." i say
"Do you guys need help?" I hear Shouto ask.
"Oh no thanks we're fine! You have to rest." Lida says.
I pull Todoroki away from the crowd and into his room.
You might have been discharged from hospital already, but that doesn't mean things can go back to normal yet!
I agree with Lida you need to rest a bit.
"Aw come on Midoriya! Im fine.." he says
I cover his mouth and push him onto his bed.
"You need to rest.." i smile at him.
"Recovery girl healed me..its okay!"
"You should wait until the scars are gone then!" I protest.
He groans and lays down on his bed. I go over and sit at the foot of his bed.
"Can i get a hug at least?" I hear him say into his pillow after a few seconds.
"Yea of course!"
I scoot over and hug him lightly, just so i dont squeeze him stomach to hard.
We stay like that for about 7 seconds before he pulls away.
"I would hug you tighter but- you know.." i say.
He smiles at me. And pats the spot next to him on the bed.
I crawl over and lay down next to him.
"So Izuku.." he turns his body to be facing mine
"D-do you want me to tell you what happened..? Yesterday.." he looks at me dead in the eyes.
"U-uh..are you sure you wanna tell me? It seems really personal.." i say
"I just need to let it all out.." he says smiling.
