I wipe away my tears. "Okay Josi, lets get started."

She chuckles half-heartily. Her eyes are full of pain. "And what would we be starting?" She asks.

I sigh and roll my eyes, as if it were obvious, which it clearly isn't. "Well, if I'm going to die, then I want to live my days to the fullest," I say. Her eyes widen. "Okay, first thing, I want to learn archery. Then I want to have something to pass down. Oh, and I want to repay all of the people I stole from. Then mayb-"

Josi cut me off. "Woah woah woah. You stole from people? I never realized you were a thief. Second, you're not killing yourself. I won't allow it."

"I know I'm not killing myself. That's why you're going to. Anyway, I was thinking of bungee jumping. You ever tried? It looks really fun. Okay, I need more. How many days do I have until wolfie comes?"

"I'd say about 10 da- wolfie? You called an all-powerful, murderous creature 'wolfie'?"

"Ten days. Yes, I did Josi. Anyway, I have two more things. I want to leave a mark on the world. Finally, I want to kill Lupan. Guess I'm already doing that, right Josi?"

Without looking up, she said, "errrwwirpenerucnty"

"What's that?"

"I'm not going to let you die Red! I've already lost everyone. I can't lose you too," she says.

I'm too stunned to reply. I focus my attention to the scrap of paper I was doodling on. I never thought I'd be so okay with dying. I guess it's because I'll be getting rid of something I never wanted, and have been trying to get rid of for five years. Now I finally will.
