Alexia POV

My paws pound against the ground as I struggle to keep going. Every time I slow down, the pack catches up with me.

It would be easy for me to give up and just go back to the pack, but then all of this would have been for nothing.

I refuse to give up now, I will make it out of this wretched pack's territory!  My silky black fur flows as I pick up pace again.

I can tell that they have fallen back quite a bit now that I've begun running, but I will have to go faster to get away.

Realizing that there's a clearing up ahead, I know that with the energy I have left I won't be able to make it all the way through.

I decide to run towards the river as I make a sharp right, swerving through the trees. I approach the river and use my magic to make it flow much faster.

As soon as I have jumped in the current sweeps me downstream. I create a bubble around myself so that I'm able to breath and I dive underwater.

I swim for what feels like hours until I decide to emerge once the river has thrown me into a lake. Quickly getting out, exhausted, I flop onto the ground and immediately sigh while falling asleep.

Jax POV
While on patrol, I hear faint sounds of whimpering. I walk towards the direction in which the sounds are becoming louder until I stumble upon a beautiful black haired alpha female.

She seems to be having a nightmare. I walk towards the gorgeous wolf.... but she bolts her eyes open and jumps up as she begins to growl at me furiously.

I can tell she is scared of me... but for some reason I'm drawn to her. She looks as if she could pounce any moment, but I'm not afraid.

She has this look about her that she's just a frightened pup who puts up her defenses because of a bad experience. I'm determined to help her.

I think that instead of approaching her in a fighting stance, it would be better to approach submissively. So I do that but it only causes her to growl louder than before.

It's hard to tell what to do in these situations, but I just know that I can't leave this forest without her coming with me.

Walking closer to her doesn't work, so I sit on the ground. In this moment where everything seems to stand still, I inhale her scent. It's the most beautiful and addictive scent I have ever smelt in my life.

It smells of red cherry blossoms mixed with what I would imagine the color gold to smell like. She smells rich and extravagant, almost exotic. I need this intoxicating smell all the time.

Alexia POV

As soon as I wake up there is someone standing over me. Not only were they watching me sleep, but they could alert someone in this territory that I'm trespassing.

I figure my best chance is to fight, so I leap up and growl as fiercely as I can. To most people, I may not be the scariest thing they've ever encountered, but they would at least back away or flinch.

He doesn't even blink. I've never met someone so bold. He intrigues me. There's a strong scent coming off him, it's so strong and yummy that I could forget about everything else.

He smells like pine mixed with chocolate, it's almost heavenly.

I can't let this distract me, though. No one else has distracted me as much as he does, what's so different about him?
