Book One, Chapter Two - Curiosity

Jax POV

     I can tell that her reaction is similar to mine, she's curious. Maybe my scent has the same effect on her as hers does on me. This curiosity causes me to roam closer to her, teetering on the edge of passing her boundaries.

     I have to be careful not to trigger her, because that would end badly. Just as I feel like she has almost calmed down, my Beta comes out of the forest behind me.

     He must have smelt the beautiful intruder on our land. He, however, seems on edge because of it. He runs up behind me and shifts once he sees her.

     I look back to her and realize she is now baring her teeth... this is not good. I do want to see how powerful she is, but not on my Beta.

     Before I can stop anything from going too far, he pounces on her and sinks his long fangs into the flesh of her neck. I can almost hear her flesh tear as he sinks them deeper.

     Just as I'm about to step in and stop him from hurting her, she flips him around and slams his back into the ground. Needless to say I'm very impressed.

     She just body slammed a wolf twice as big as her into the ground. I guess using ones own size against them is a good way to fight.

Alexia POV

     The audacity of this Beta. Attacking an alpha. I don't care if I'm trespassing or not, Beta's can't attack alphas.

     Although I'm not respected in my old pack... well not respected is an understatement.. but still, an alpha is an alpha and they don't just get attacked by Betas.

     Good thing I've had to practice fighting off bigger wolves all of my life, or this might have been a bloody fight. He's pinned to the ground within seconds and I can already tell he is submitting.

     He must realize I'm an alpha now. Good for him, he better remember it. As I'm about to run back off into the forest, I look up and see that the sexy white haired wolf from earlier is staring at me.

     He looks quite surprised, to be honest, I would too. I could run away right now, and could probably outrun him too... but maybe I don't want to.

     I have nowhere to go and nothing to do, so I might as well have some fun with this sexy alpha.

Jax POV

     After she pins my Beta to the ground, I see this look in her eyes as if she might run away. I know I couldn't keep up with her, she seems as if she's been practicing for this moment her whole life.

     Always prepared to run. I'm ready to see her run off and to never encounter her again... just as I think she will, a glint of curiosity and adventure sparks into her eye.

     I know now that this is the beginning to a brand new adventure, and I'm fully prepared to play along.
