Chapter 12 - "Shocking news"

"Marinette, wake up. It's already 7 o'clock. You will be again late in school."

...But Marinette didn't react.
"MARINETTE!!!" Tikki shouted next to her ear. Mari jumped out of the bed in a second.
"Tikki, don't scare me like that"
"I'm sorry, but you didn't want to wake up."
"I'm so exhausted. I feel dizzy, but more important, how was Sass' party?" asked yawning girl.

"You won't believe what happened there, but now you have to go and eat breakfast."
"You're right. Thanks, Tikki." she said and went downstairs to grab something to eat.

She wasn't late for school today. She entered class with a wide smile.
"Somebody has a nice dream, I suppose." said voice from behind. Marinette turned around.

"Alya! It's you." said Marinette, hugging her.

"Now tell me, what happened to you that you're so happy. Did you get a sweet kiss from Adrien in your dream?"

"Nothing. I just have a good day."
"Okay, but don't forget. I''l make you talkative." Alya smiled like a professional villain, then Adrien entered class.

"Hi, Adrien." Marinette waved with her hand.

"Oh, h.. Hi, Ma... Mar... Marinette." He was stammering, he couldn't help blushing. Alya seemed to be surprised. Adrien sat next to Nino.

"Marinette, explain yourself, now." Alya whispered to her ear.

"You talked to Adrien without stammering. What is more, he stammered when he tried to answer you. What happened between you two yesterday?" she asked curiously.
"Nothing, really. I was in my house a whole day."

"So how did you overcome your fear of talking to Adrien?"

"I wasn't afraid, but it's a simple answer. I no longer love him." Marinette's word astonished herself.

"WHAT?!" Alya shouted and stood up.

"Alya, is material so shocking that you have to raise your voice?" asked angry Miss Bustier.

"I'm sorry. It won't happen again." she sat down and whispered to Marinette's ear again.

"Now, tell me everything. I'm your BFF and I have the right to know."

"I don't really know. It happened suddenly. It was like "poof" and all my feelings disappeared. Maybe you'll be angry, but I feel free now."

"O. M. G. My little girl has grown up. So, who is your target now?" Alya raised her eyebrows.

"No-one. I will live as a single teen from now on."

"Uuuuuuu... What is your plan?"

"Learn and pass school."

"Okay, but you have to tell me if you fall for someone."

"Haha, don't worry, I will." she laughed silently.

"Dude, what happened to you? You were stammering and blushing in front of Mari." Nino asked Adrien.
"I... I don't know. She's so beatiful. Her eyes... and hair." Adrien blushed and looked at ceiling.

"Okay, buddy. Okay." Confused Nino looked at him. Both of them didn't say a single word during whole school. Adrien's mind was flying high in the clouds. His heart was melting on every thought of her.

The rest of school was boring as most of the time, when there wasn't any akuma in town. Everybody was about to leave, when Alya grabbed Nino's shoulder and took him far from the rest of class.

"Nino, something happened to them. They switched their characters. We have to do something or they will never become a couple." she said it very fast that Nino barely understood her speech.
"Okay, slow down. Who are you talking about?"

"About my ship. Our ship. Adrinette!"

"What's wrong with them? Adrien finally realised that he loves her. That's exactly what you've wanted."

"But Marinette doesn't love him any longer!" Alya sat on the floor and started to cry.

"Hey, hey, hey. Darling, don't cry. Do you want them to be together or Marinette to be happy?"

"Them together and Marinette's happines, but maybe you're right. I should support her instead of making my desires come true." Nino gave her a hand and helped her to stand up.

"Thank you my lovely DJ." He grabbed her around her waits. She smiled, kissed him and both of them headed to Alya's house.
