Elodie rushed on velox down the hill, smelling the freshly growing rosa abyssi, its sweet scent filling her nostrils, singing a song of scent. She could see the capital and urged Velox to run faster. She closed her eyes, trusting velox would know the way. The wind rushed through her hair as Velox raced along, as she felt the cold of the dagger in her boot, as she smelled the rosa abyssi, as she arrived in town central.

Velox bent so Elodie could slip off him and attach his lead. She looked around as spellcasters from all over walked through the central, the stands selling and the people buying.

Every spellcaster had the spellcaster’s mark, a circular symbol with two dashes in the middle. Elodie had hers on her right shoulder. Brewers also had their own symbol, which was usually a square symbol with no line on the top, and a line slicing through the middle. But Lucy had something… different. On her back in between her shoulder blades, she had her symbol, but instead of a square it was a circle. She had a mixed symbol, but it was closer to a brewer, so she went that route.

Elodie, for the rest of the day, went around and saw many artifacts. One of which was a cyan-purple crystal that floated over a rock and glowed. She also saw a globe in which a raging storm was held inside. Over time, she bought many things and saw many too. After her purchases, she went to go see a p-

“Ouch!”

Elodie had headfirst slammed into someone, who fell over and dropped all of their stuff on the floor. Velox started sniffing the young lady who groaned and rubbed her head in pain.

“Oh my gods, i'm so sorry!” Elodie bent down and started picking up her stuff for her while the girl also got up and started gathering her things. Elodie looked up and saw a girl with frizzy white hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. She had glasses that were big and round, with one purple eye and the other green.

“No, no, It was my fault, i ran into you…” The girl looked up as well, her lavender sleeveless cloak rustling in the wind. “I’m Klee.” She stuck out her hand, smiling.

“Elodie.” she shook hands with Klee, who had gathered her things by now.

“Hey, do you know where mister Archdimelio’s panel will be?”

“No kidding. I'm heading there right now! I'm afraid you were heading in the wrong direction, though.”

Klee laughed, a jingle that sounded like fey bells. “I was trying to look for a map, but my memory’s not so great, so i'm pretty sure I just went in circles. Thanks for stopping my cycle!”
The two girls headed for Erik Archdimelio’s panel for spellcasters, for both girls were huge fans of the guy who had changed magic for the better.
