Seton Academy: Journey Through A Decade

Chapter 3: Seton Academy's First Protector!

So last time Makoto arrived at Seton Academy and had his meeting with the Principal and Tyranno sensei. He explained the attack at the gas station and his position as Kamen Rider Decade. Now a scream was heard from outside the school, what could be in store for Makoto?

Makoto and Jin burst through the front door of the school to find a large portion of the student body looking at something in horror. Makoto and Jin pushes their way through the crowd to the front to see what was causing all the commotion in the first place. The two humans were shocked to see the group of lions that had stopped Makoto at the front gate were laying at the feet of a spear wielding monster.

             "What the hell is that thing?!" Jin said as he stared at the strange monster in shock and fear. "A Gurongi, monsters from an ancient time that hunt and kill humans for sport." Makoto said as he started walking towards the monster calmly. "Hey Jin, where is Makoto going?" Ranka asked as she approached the human boy with a curious expression on her face. "Walking right towards his death." Jin muttered as he watched Makoto march up to the Gurongi without any sort of fear.
              "Weak! You call yourselves predators? If my kind hadn't been defeated by that masked warrior, all of you would have been wiped out!" The Gurongi shouted as the students of Seton Academy cowered in fear at his words. "Hey Gurongi, why don't you fight someone who stands a chance against you?" The Gurongi turned to face Makoto before pointing his spear at the teenager. "You have a lot of nerve to approach me, Go-Jiino-Da! Gurongi Warrior! Who are you human?" Go-Jiino-Da asked as he inched his spear closer to Makoto.
               "Just a passing through Kamen Rider, remember that!" Makoto said as he pointed at Go-Jiino-Da as he placed the Decadriver on his waist. Makoto places a card in the Decadriver before fully facing Go-Jiino-Da. "Kamen Ride." The Decadriver announced as Makoto places his hand on one of the two side pieces. "As long as I'm here, you won't hurt anyone at this school!" Makoto said as he closed up the Decadriver. "Decade!" The Decadriver announced as Makoto transformed into Decade.
            Go-Jiino-Da charged Makoto with his spear at the ready as Makoto drew the Ride Booker in it's sword form. Makoto blocked the attack with the Ride Booker before slashing the weapon backwards and striking Go-Jiino-Da across the chest. The Gurongi stumbled backwards before regaining his footing. Makoto pulled out another card before tossing it into the Decadriver and closing it up. "Attack Ride. Slash!" The Decadriver announced as the Ride Booker's blade glowed red with energy as Makoto charged.
Makoto struck Go-Jiino-Da across the chest again, which sent the Gurongi tumbling across the ground. Go-Jiino-Da shackily stood you before roaring in anger. "I will not be defeated by another masked warrior! This ends now!" Go-Jiino-Da shouted as he charged Makoto before stabbing him in the chest with his spear. Makoto was knocked back by the attack, but before he could recover Go-Jiino-Da knocked the Ride Booker out of his hand. The Ride Booker flew behind Makoto near the crowd as it's blade plunged into the ground in front of the crowd.
Go-Jiino-Da began to repeatedly strike Makoto in the chest with his spear as the Kamen Rider did his best to defend himself from the onslaught of attacks. Makoto was sent tumbling across the ground as he rolled out of the way of a downward thrust from Go-Jiino-Da. Makoto quickly got back to his feet before attempting to throw a punch at the Gurongi, but the monster caught it before being once again struck across the chest with the monster's spear. Makoto lay on the ground as he tried to recover.
                  "Jin we have to help him! That thing is gonna kill him!" Ranka said as she shook her human classmate's arm. "What could we possibly do? If the this Kamen Rider can't, what can we do?" Jin fires back as he noticed the Ride Booker stuck in the ground in front of him. "Wait a second, that's the thing Makoto used to transform into that armor." Jin thought you himself as he shot forward, surprising Ranka. Jin where are you going?!" Ranka shouted at her classmate as she watched him run.
            Jin grabbed the Ride Booker by it's handle before rushing towards the downed Kamen Rider and Gurongi. "Time to die masked Warrior!" Go-Jiino-Da shouted as he raised his spear above his head. Before he could bring it down however, slash to the back stopped his attack completely. Go-Jiino-Da turned to face Jin holding the Ride Booker in his hand, blade pointed at him. "Do you think you can defeat me human?" Go-Jiino-Da taunted as he laughed at Jin trying to fight him.
           "I can't, but he can. Makoto catch!" Jin shouted as he threw the Ride Booker to the Kamen Rider before rolling out of the way of Go-Jiino-Da's attack. Makoto strapped the Ride Booker to his waist before kicking Go-Jiino-Da away. "Well Gurongi, how about I give you a blast from the past?" Makoto said as he pulled out another card before placing it into the Decadriver. "Kamen Ride." The Driver announced as Makoto watched the Gurongi stand back up. Makoto closed up the Decadriver. "Kuuga!" The Driver announces as Makoto transformed again.

        Makoto was now in completely different armor as Go-Jiino-Da started to shake with rage at the sight of Makoto's new form. "Kuuga! I will kill you for destroying me!" Go-Jiino-Da roared angrily as he charged towards the Kamen Rider. Makoto blocked the spear with his arm before delivering a powerful punch to the Gurongi's gut. Go-Jiino-Da was sent stumbling backwards as Makoto charged towards him again. Go-Jiino-Da attempted to skewer Makoto, but the Kamen Rider front flipped over him.
Makoto landed before performing a roundhouse kick to the Gurongi's head, then following it up with another punch to the gut. "I think it's time we finished this little fight of ours." Makoto said as he inserted another card into the Decadriver before closing it up. "Final Attack Ride. Ku-Ku-Ku-Kuuga!" The Driver announces as flames appeared on the bottom of Makoto's right foot. Makoto charged towards Go-Jiino-Da before performing a front flip before kicking the Gurongi in the chest with his flaming foot.
Go-Jiino-Da looked at his chest that now had Kuuga's symbol on it as said symbol began to glow. Go-Jiino-Da screamed as he exploded, Makoto reverted back to his Decade form before turning to face his shocked classmates. "I'm Makoto Kadoya, AKA Kamen Rider Decade! I hope we can all get along!" Makoto said as he bowed before finally undoing his transformation. Makoto then walked back towards the school as everyone moved out of his way. Makoto walked down the halls in search of the dorms so he could get some rest.
            "Hey Makoto wait up!" Makoto turned to see Ranka run up to him with Jin hot on her heels. "That was amazing! You have to join my pack!" Ranka demanded as she pointed at Makoto. "Don't you think it would be better to invite to the cooking club instead of demanding things from him?" Jin said in an annoyed tone as he tried to catch his breath. "Jin thanks for helping me back there, I wouldn't have won that fight if you didn't bring the Ride Booker to me!" Makoto said with a laugh as he patted Jin on the shoulder.
               "Don't mention it. But seriously stop by the cooking club if you get the chance." Jin said as he and Makoto walked towards the boy dorms after saying goodbye to Ranka. "So that thing was a Gurongi?" Jin asked as he gave Makoto a curious look. "Yeah, they were the main enemies of the first Heisei Kamen Rider, Kuuga." Makoto explained as they continued to walk down the hall. "Kuuga? Wasn't that what the Gurongi called you when you changed into that other armor?" Jin asked as he shot Makoto another curious look.
"As Kamen Rider Decade I can transform into the previous nine Heisei Kamen Riders. Unfortunately a new enemy appeared and killed my father the original Decade by bringing back the past foes of those Riders." Makoto explained as Jin gave him an apologetic look. "So I'm assuming that monster today was only the beginning?" Jin asked as Makoto nodded to confirm his question. Both boys parted ways as they entered their respective dorms to turn in for the day after all the excitement. This was shaping up to be one crazy school year.

So the first past enemy has attacked Seton Academy! Luckily Makoto was able to defeat the monster with some help from Jin. Now Ranka and Jin have invited Makoto to come visit the cooking club!
