The rest of the weekend went by without event. Cheryl spent Sunday catching up on her assignments and end of the year papers. It was hard to focus with Toni texting her constantly.

TT💕 [12:06pm]: What are you doing now?

Cheryl [12:06pm]: Attempting to work, but someone keeps distracting me.

TT💕 [12:06pm]: Wow how rude of them

TT💕 [12:07pm]: Maybe it's a sign you need a break

Cheryl [12:07pm]: As tempting as that is, I do need to focus.

TT💕 [12:07pm]: Baaaaabe

TT💕 [12:07pm]: I miss you

Cheryl smiled at her phone, a goofy grin across her face. It was just like the first time they started dating, and the redhead was feeling butterflies in her stomach. It's amazing that she could still feel that way about Toni after years of dating. Sure, to Toni, this was all brand knew, but to Cheryl, they had been there before... Still, it felt fresh and exciting.

Cheryl [12:07pm]: I miss you too.

Cheryl [12:07pm]: That doesn't change the fact that I have to finish this paper.

TT💕 [12:08pm]: At least let me pick you up tomorrow?

TT💕 [12:08pm]: Please?

Cheryl [12:08pm]: I'd love that.

"So you're dating it now?" Heather sneered as the pair walked into school the following day.

Toni stopped in her tracks and turned to the girl. "You did not just call my girlfriend it," she seethed.

Heather laughed, "You act like I haven't done it before, like you haven't done it before."

"And I'll always regret that," the shorter girl said.

"TT, let's go. She's not worth it," Cheryl prompted.

"TT?" Heather smirked. "You two are disgusting."

"No, that would be you," Cheryl retorted.

Cheryl and Toni walked away from the girl and proceeded to their lockers. Toni turned to her girlfriend, "Are you okay?"

"Perfectly fine," the redhead said. "She doesn't bother me anymore."

"I meant with... with what she said," Toni elaborated.

"About what you used to say?"

Toni nodded, shame upon her face.

"I know that wasn't the real you," Cheryl explained. "This is the real you," she placed her hand on Toni's heart. "You made some mistakes, but I have forgiven you for all of them. Please don't doubt that."
