It was a normal Monday morning for Y/N as a high school student. Everyday doing the same routine for the past few years. However, she never wanted to do such things that overlap with her interests. Let alone her love for gaming and the need for self solitude undisturbed.
She yawned and rubbed her eyes, still feeling dreary from the comforting slumber nights. As she stretched and bent her back a little, vision slowly clearing gradually.
"Man, how long I was asleep for? It's already morning and- WAIT-WHAT?! IT'S MORNING!?--I'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!"
She rushed into the bathroom, took a shower, fixed the fuzzy hair, and changed pajamas to school attire. Heading out of the door carrying the same (fav anime/game) bag. She had something to eat something while standing by the stop sign and waited for the bus to arrive.
"Hey, weeb! What are YOU doing here?" I groaned, annoyed by HIS voice.
"Heeeyyyyy- I live here so you know for sure why I am here." she looked away in discomfort while he approached and stared at her bag in disgust.
The boy she's talking with now was named Jake, he would constantly pester her for being 'not a girl' and as to going far enough to physically bully her for that reason. Y/N grew a great sense of anger and grudge on him. Especially when he is invading her personal space way too much.
"Ugh- you still wear that tacky kid's bag? It looks so weird and out of date." he tried to grab it but she backed away in time and slapped his hand.
"Stay away from me, Jake! (from State Farm- okay I need help)" she hissed in response, watching him rub his now red-marked hand and he shot a menacing stare on her.

But the bus finally came just in the nick of time and she immediately went inside and to the far back seats where no one could bother me. Peace, at last. She set her bag down and got out the Switch console to play her favorite game, Hollow Knight.
She smiled in excitement and then ventured around Dirtmouth, picking Grimm's DLC for today because it was one of her favorites (are you sure about that being the ONLY reason?Hmm?) and went down the caverns till reaching the station, then set the location to Distant Village as the Stag brought the character there.
But wait a minute---something was not right here. Usually, the background colors of the stations are mono-colored or match the locations. Yet everything is in a red color now. Is this a new DLC update she's not aware of? Perhaps it's just her imagination playing tricks again.
Ignoring the new change of asset coloration and continued on. Going through the caverns to look for what she remembered as the Scarlet Flame. It was odd that there were more infected vessels than when previously went over.
After beating a few vessels and got to the area where to torch is, A sudden sharp of pain in her head. It was too painful, to be honest.
'Ow... what the hell? Why do I feel like I drunk something this morning?'
(No sweetheart, your not legal to even drink yet. It's just a headache)
Rubbing her head a bit to soothe the pain and it soon went away. 'That was--odd. Really odd.' She thought and resumed the game as if nothing happened and started to play, but going back to Dirthmouth the second time...
