Chapter 7

PREVIOUSLY

"You know, he looks like a cave-man." I would grab a napkin and wipe my mouth, smiling. "That's because he i- I mean... yeah. He does." Chase quickly covered himself up and I noticed it, but I thought of it of nothing... though, it was quite suspicious how Koda looked like a cave-man and Chase tried to cover it up. Oh well, I'm just gonna keep on enjoying my food!

Alicen finished her food in a matter of minutes, obviously showing that she was hungry. "Wow, you were hungry." Chase stares at her in shock and Alicen would giggle. Chase finally noticed that she was wearing a necklace around her neck, and what stood out was the shiny part. He couldn't exactly map it out but... it looked like an Energem? That was impossible! There's only ten, right? Unless... there was one more that they didn't even know of, including Keeper?

Chase had just let it out, "Is that an Energem?" Alicen's reaction was to immediately freeze up and stare in shock. She hadn't expected Chase to ask her thought! 

ALICEN'S POV

As I just finished my food, I didn't want Chase to look through my journal so I had put it back into my backpack, along with my pencil into my pencil case. Just as I was about to say something, I heard Chase say, "Is that an Energem?" and I immediately froze up. I couldn't help but feel shock as he said that, and before he could do anything with my Energem, I immediately hid it underneath my shirt. "W-What..." I really couldn't let anything out, I was hesitant. I could see Chase's face become all of a sudden serious, but I still couldn't let anything out. "How do you have that? There's only ten Energems within Earth."

Ten?!  That means... there's ten more versions of me but different colors with different abilities and different dinosaurs?! Judging by Chase's look, he obviously wanted answers but before I could even say anything, Riley had come back to the table. Life saver!

"Did you enjoy your food?" Riley said, giving me a smile as he took the plate that my food had been on. Quickly gaining back my ability to move with my body, I smile at him and nod. "Yes, it was delicious. Thank you, Riley," and give him a thumbs up for fun.

RILEY'S POV

As I went over to Alicen's table since Shelby told me to, I noticed that Chase was gesturing looks at me to come over to the side to talk to him though I didn't listen. Instead, I just continued normally doing my job. "Did you enjoy the food?" I asked, and smiled as I took the plate. She smiles and nods, "Yes, it was delicious. Thank you, Riley," and gestured me a thumbs up. I couldn't help but feel to slightly laugh as she did that, it was quite cute if I'm being honest. The way she always responses was so dorky and adorable, I just couldn't help but smile. Hold on- What am I even thinking? Stop that Riley. She's a customer and Chase probably has a better chance with her anyways!

Before going back to the counter to bring the plates back to the sink, I notice that Chase is still gesturing me over to talk to him but more aggressively. I would sigh, and finally just give in. Chase and I had went over to the side, somewhere where the girl couldn't see us or hear us. "What is it Chase?" I said, looking at him confused.  "Dude," Chase says, "I swear I saw her wearing an Energem." I would stare at Chase in shock, obviously dumbfounded at what he just said. "Wait, an Energem? You're kidding Chase. Keeper hid away ten in the world and he had only ten with him. How the heck is there eleven?" I would gesture him a more serious look and Chase looks at me with a genuine look. "I'm telling you the truth, Riley," He says, "You need to believe me, man. I literally saw it around her neck. It was just like ours, she put it on a necklace just like us!"

I would sigh, obviously thinking of how this was even possible. But then I remembered that I had saw it too! It was a shiny necklace that she was wearing when I was looking at her and it looked EXACTLY like an Energem. But... how?
