{ a/n- I understand everything is very cute and fluffy right now. Don't worry, it's going to get more...dramatic, a little later on. ;) }

Chester's POV

We pull up to the clinic, parking just in front of the door. It's (hopefully) our last visit before the baby arrives.

"Ready to check on little miss?" I ask Grace, taking her hand. We've taken to calling the baby little miss.

"Definitley." Grace answers, her bright eyes lighting up.

We walk to the clinic doors and check in with the receptionist. She directs us to one of the back rooms where Dr. Matherson is waiting.

"Hello you two." She says cheerily.

"Hi Dr. Matherson." Grace answers.

The doctor has Grace lay out on the table thing, but asks some questions before doing the ultra sound.

"Does everything seem normal to you?" Dr. Matherson questions. "Is anything sticking out in your mind as odd?"

"No, not really." I reply.

"Has the baby been moving around a lot?" She says next.

"Yes, she has. Especially these past two months." Grace informs her.

Dr. Matherson smiles and begins the ultra sound. Immediately we hear a heartbeat, fast and strong.

"The baby seems very healthy. Everything is going how it should be." Dr. Matherson informs.

Grace lets out a breath, a look of relief washing over her face.

"Thank god." She whispers, looking concernedly at the baby's form on the monitor.

We exit the clinic and get back into the car. As we're driving home, Grace admits something to me.

"I feel like everything is going to smoothly." She confesses. I can see tears forming in her eyes, and I realize this has been a concern of hers since the first doctors appointment.

"Gracie, baby, don't cry. We're having a healthy baby girl, that's something to appreciate. No matter what happens, I'll be here to support you and little miss. I promise." I tell her, gently wiping a tear that has escaped her eyes.

"We're both very lucky to have you, Ches." She answers.
