Grace's POV

I unlock the front door and push it open wide. I've just set my keys on the counter when Sophie comes running to me.

"Mommy!" She yells happily, jumping into my arms.

"Hi there little miss." I greet her.

"Daddy is getting the Christmas tree out so we can decorate." Sophie informs me.

"Oh really?" I ask, setting her back on the floor.

"Yeah!" She exclaims cheerily, bouncing up and down.

"Is someone a little excited for Christmas?" I question.

"I'm really excited! Santa is coming." Sophie reminds me.

"Soph, I've got the tree!" Chester calls from the hallway.

"Yay!" She squeals, running to her dad.

I smile at how excitable she is. She definitley got that from Chester.

"Hey babe." I say, going over to Chester.

"Hi there." He replies, giving me a quick kiss. "Our daughter has been driving me up the wall about Christmas."

"It's a magical time of year for her." I state, helping him unpackage the tree.

The three of us spend the next hour building and decorating the tree with lights and garland. Then I go to find the box of ornaments. I open the bin and Sophie rummages around through them.

"Who's this?" She asks, holding up a hanging frame with her newborn picture in it.

"That's you, Soph." I tell her.

Her eyes widen in shock and awe.

"I was that tiny?" She questions.

"Yeah you were." I answer, sitting on the floor so she can crawl in my lap. "You were our little miracle baby."

Sophie smiles up at me, her big brown eyes bright. Her eyes make my heart melt everytime I see them.

"Am I still your baby mommy?" She asks.

"Of course you are sweetie." I assure her. "You'll always be my baby."

"Good." She assesses, hugging me tightly. "I love you mommy."

"Love you too Sophie."

We finish putting the ornaments on the tree and Chester pulls out the tree topper we've been using for years.

"I want to do it daddy!" Sophie calls, reaching up for the gold star.

Chester swoops her up in his arms and holds her around her waist. She takes the star and leans forward to place it on top of the tree.

"Wait!" I say, pulling out my phone. I go to snapchat to record it; it's only fitting.

I hold the button down as Sophie puts it on the tree.

"Tree topper part two."
