I opened my eyes later, my head was hurting really bad. The light in the Center was hurting my eyes.
"Oh, thank the stars you're all right!" Mother gasped.
"How long was I out?" I asked groggily.
"A fairly long time. About a day." Rainbowstar said. I sniffed. Then, I felt my neck bare. I looked for the Moone Amulet, but it wasn't there.
"Where's my Amulet?!" I cried.
"I'm so sorry, honey." Mother bowed her head and held out my Amulet. Oh. My. Stars. It was broken to pieces!
"Who broke my Amulet?!" I demanded sharply. Everyone winced.
"Nobody, sweetie. It broke when you fell out cold." Mother replied.
No.
The Amulet that was irreplaceable and that Father gave to me was broken. Gone. Like my father himself. I broke into a painful sob.
"Honey, don't cry. Everything will be okay." Mother said gently.
"No, everything is NOT okay! I've lost my father and now my Amulet that he gave to me long ago! I don't know what I would do without you too!" I wailed.
"We'll either fix it, or try to find you a new one." Rainbowstar said. I snarled at her in anger.
"YOU CAN'T! THERE IS NOT ANOTHER ONE! IT WAS ONE OF A KIND FOR ME!"
"Honey, don't raise your voice at her. She did nothing wrong." Mother said. I felt so angry and lost and... hurt. Then, I felt more pressure on my head.
"Ack, what is on my head?!" I asked.
"It's a bandage. You had a minor concussion from someone hitting your head." Rainbowstar replied.
"I'm sorry, Rainbowstar. I shouldn't have been so mean to you a few minutes ago. I was just so angry that my valuable gift is gone forever." I said.
"Ah, it's fine, Midnight. I'm pretty much used to it." Rainbowstar replied.
"It's not fine, Rainbowstar. You and Mother are the only parents I've got. I shouldn't get so hateful." I said.
"I know. It's about to be nightfall, so we need to speed-heal you and get back to that fight." Rainbowstar said. I nodded.
