SUMMARY :  Roark tells Logan and Kili he's sending them home with Tristyn's body.  Rodolphus and Rabastan are once again confronted about their involvement with Harry and Roark.  Roark calls his grandfather.

"Rory--"

"I know, Logan," he told him quietly.  "Please, just trust us.  However wrong this may seem to you, to all of you...Harry and I...there's just something about them."

"Hum..." Harry hummed his agreement.  "What that something is neither of us knows, we just know it's there, obscured...hidden."

Logan studied them, then nodded.  "Alright then, when you figure it out, do be sure to tell the rest of us."

"We will," Roark said, the promise in his voice left unsaid.

"You said arresting him felt wrong to you," Kili said, looking over at them as they began to walk.  "Why?  We know he's lying to us.  Know he's giving Riddle information.  He drugged you."

"Yes, he is, he has, and he did, but it took Rodolphus, a Terminator who has been contracted to kill me to tell me that.  We still need the proof, which we DON'T have.  Tristyn said something about disks, Logan, and that you knew where they were."

Logan nodded.  "He hid them in two separate places, and as none of the guys would let me go alone, we stopped at both hiding places on out way to your place.  The disks are gone."

"I should hope not.  It's dangerous for any of us who do not have shadow magic to hide us, to be on our own."  He gave a sigh.  "And of course they were.  Ki, do you remember if he said anything else?"

"He really was being very careful about the whole thing, which neither of us blamed him for," then he frowned suddenly, an odd look in his eyes.

"I know that look, little brother," Fili said as he looked at him.  "What did you just think of?"

"It's just...he said we'd be surprised, maybe even shocked by some of the information.  Logan had gone to refill our drinks.  He told me he'd done far more than we could ever imagine."

"Well, that doesn't sound good," Harry said, his tone grim.

"No, it doesn't.  I don't suppose he said anything to either of you about Rodolphus and Rabastan not being what they seemed?"

"He did, but again, he wouldn't explain.  Said something about it being safer for them, not us.  It seemed to me that he might be protecting them for some reason, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why he would want too."  Kili looked at each of them, saw the look in their eyes.  "What is it?  That's why you trust them, isn't it?"

"Partly, though there's more to it.  He's never lied to me, number one, and two, there's these feelings I have every time I see him.  I can't explain it, it's just the feeling there's more to him, more then he's certainly letting me see...letting anyone see."

"It's the same with Rabastan," Harry said.  "There's this very strong feeling that they're both hiding something.  Something very important about themselves, that we aren't seeing their true selves."

"And that we won't see it until this is over," Roark said, then gave another sigh.  "I guess I have no choice.  I have an idea, but you, nor Logan are going to like it."

"Why?" came warily.  He was almost afraid he already knew what that idea was, and if it WAS what he thought, then no, he definitely wasn't going to be happy.

"Because it involves sending the two of you home, just as I told Ardyn I wanted too.  Though not for the reason's I implied.  Not completely anyway."
