Just Keep Your Eyes On Me

A few weeks after Killer had seen Dream and Ink, sightings of them were being reported from all over the Multiverse.

No one knew how that was possible.

But that wasn't the most eventful thing that had happened in the weeks that had passed.

Goth and Palette did kiss, but did anyone know? Nope. Are they dating? Unfortunately not. Goth didn't want to endanger Palette with Geno finding out.

And probably the most eventful thing this happened was Cross gave birth to a baby girl which he and Nightmare named Moonlight.

Now that Cross was able to go help Nightmare with the Dream and Ink situation, Incubix became Moonlight's babysitter.

Which he hated.

Moonlight was still very young, she still hadn't opened her eyes yet which was odd.

Incubix had to carry her around everywhere. And gosh were babies needy.

One day, Incubix got sick of the mansion and took Moonlight outside for a walk. The fresh air did feel great. As he turned the corner, he saw four figures sneaking off into the woods. Again.

Incubix sighed and went over to them,"You're all going to get in so much trouble." He said, startling them.

Sprinkle laughed awkwardly,"We know, but we want to do something to help! We can't just sit around!"

Incubix sighed again, resisting the temptation to tell them that all he's been doing for the past few weeks was sitting around desperately wanting to help. But instead he said,"I won't tell. In fact, I haven't seen any of you since breakfast."

Desire grinned,"Thanks Incubix!" Incubix nodded and watched them disappear into the thick branches. Incubix readjusted Moonlight in his arms and continued his walk around the mansion's enormous garden of dying plants.

"Stop right there."

A unfamiliar voice demanded.

Incubix stopped, unsure if he knew the person or not.

"We have you surrounded and we're armed. We will attack if you don't come with us and give us the information we need."

Incubix glanced around,"Do you really have me surrounded? I don't see anyone."

"That's because we're hidden."

"Ah. Well, I have an infant in my arms. Do you really want to endanger an infant?"

Incubix heard people whispering before he was answered,"We'll do what we must."

Incubix frowned and looked at Moonlight, who was sleeping peacefully in his arms debating about whether or not he should say what he knew he should say,"Look. As much as I despise this child, I don't want anything to happen to her. So-"

He stopped really hating what he was about to say next,"So I'll go with you peacefully and I won't fight back as long as you don't cause any harm to Moonlight."

There was a long pause before Incubix watched as everyone who had him surrounded cane out of hiding.

"We have reached an agreement. Come, we will take you to our base."

If Moonlight wasn't there he would totally attack and most likely kill them.

Moonlight, being a baby, started crying for no reason whatsoever. Maybe she could sense something bad was going to happen.

Incubix tried to quiet her down, but couldn't. One of the hooded figures just gestured towards the portal,"I have kids of my own, they never shut up. Better to just go somewhere else."
