Chapter 5

I opened my mouth to say 'Uhhh -'
I did not get to finish looking suspicious when Hugo came in looking for Thalia. He whispered to Thalia and she motioned for me to come.

I left Liam my brother in the kitchen 'Hey kiddo i will be right back stay here' He nodded.

I followed Thalia and we walk into a room that has all our cctvs in the pack house or the entire borders. I spotted Milo in the room.

I waved to him and said 'Did u suspect anything'

He turned his chair and pointed at the screen. 'This masked guy was heading to the edge of the pack house and he jumped to the second balcony into your room.'

The figure in the screen came back out one minute later when Milo said ' He just dissapeared and he did not took anything else. I check all of the cctvs and he came alone with no one.'

The four of us stood up and practically ran to my room. There was nothing but a primrose flower on my desk.

I looked at my friends saying 'Odd, i have an admirer'

They looked at me like they want to say something but decided not to. I decided to speak up 'What?'

Thalia said 'How did you know there was someone who was going to be here today'

And the question i have been dreading all day.

'Well you see i just had a feeling that today that someone was coming to infiltrate our base, it's just a feeling and instead they sent me a flower. And i was in the mood to test our newly improved cctvs that were installed in some areas and i just did not want to go to the party. It's just too crowded.' Their faces went from suspicion to understanding.

I continued 'You know what? Let's just hang here until it's time to cut my cake. Oh wait i left my brother in the kitchen. I better go get him. Wait here.' I stood up and walk out of the room.

I let out a sigh at how i sounded strange and at the same time not strange. Thankfully there were actually new cctvs camera installed or i dont know how to get my way out of this one.

I walk into the kitchen and saw my parents with my brother. 'Hey honey having fun?' My mum asked. I said ' yeah im just going back to my room to hang with my friends'

'okay dont be too long we will cut your cake at 9.30 pm' my dad said.

'Okay' I replied. I grabbed some food and head back to my room.

I walk to my room balancing the food in my hands when i accidently bumped into Milo.

'Hey need a hand' then he grabbed the ice cream and souffles and ran to my room.

I kick open my door to see my friends playing my play station.

'Food's here' I walk to my bathroom to wash my hands when i saw another primrose by the sink.

Then i saw the flower petals lead to my wardrobe i opened it and there was a card and a box at the end of the trail. I opened the card and it wrote 'Happy 18th birthday'

I open the box and it was a necklace. It had a rose quartz gem in the middle of the necklace. I thought who would be so bold to do this can't they just attend my birthday party and put the gift in the gifts section on the table downstairs.

I stored the gem back in the box and turned to my friends. Milo, Hugo and Tahlia were playing Wii now.

Milo turned to look at me 'Hey Nina did you know Jake broke up with his girlfriend and he told his friends that he missed you?'

I turn to look at him, surprise. I remember this memory of me sulking about Jake then being happy after Milo told me this until i met Him, my mate. After that, i had completely forgotten about Jake.

'Well i coudn't care less about who he's dating or not.' I answered him back with how i replied him twenty years ago.

'Then how would you explain the box in your hand' I quickly hid it behind my back.
