The Gentle Moth and Vicious Beast

Chapter 5: King of Despair

Many days passed, Luna has finally understood every part of Paradise. She got to know the residents, the many places, and more about the Treeangle. She also got the hang of flying, thanks to Heli. Though she can fly, she can't soar around the sky, just yet, as she's nervous on flying from a high place. Her new home was located in Mosura, the garden Cube showed her, her little cottage was at the cliff he told her about. It was a great view of the land but she tried not to look down at the bottom of the cliff as it was mention before, she's afraid of high places.
Once a day, she'll visit the grey cactus known as Blixer. She'll constantly bring him a few snacks she brought from Paradise. He'll munch down on all of them, poor shape was so hungry. Every day for so many weeks, she'll come visit him, he loved the comfort and kindness she brought to him. The presence was the light of the darkness he had in his life. He always asked her questions about how her life is, how would she feel she, one day, became queen, or just simply asking her what she liked. She always responds quietly and honestly. After many months, Blixer finally had a friend.

Luna slept in her cottage, tired from meeting Blixer last night. She stayed with him until the break of dawn for him to sleep. She sang to him a melody she made up to him until he fell asleep. She was, at the moment, a heavy sleeper. The Sun greeted a new pair of shapes. Very special shapes. A cyan square, a yellow triangle, a green pentagon, and an orange circle. The 4 shapes shot out of the Treeangle and dashed around the sky. They went down to the ground and started to enjoy their new home. Cube notices the shapes flying around, the Sun went down to him. "Cube, I'm giving the position of caring for our new shapes. The Treeangle has created these shapes to protect us from any possible threat to Paradise and it's your job to watch over them and guide them." Cube nodded. "I'll make sure our new protectors are safe and sound." He went over to the shapes and they went to look at him. "Hello. I'm Cube. I'm here to guide you to your new home which is Paradise." The shapes flew around in excitement. Cube smiled as he started to show them around. The shapes brought life to many things as they have the power of the triangles from the tree. They used these triangles to help them or restore anything. They passed through the islands and the waters until they made to the caves. The caves where Blixer lives.

Blixer continues to sleep quietly. In his dream, he can still hear the voice of Luna, singing him the melody she made for him. He smiled gently as his dream self caress the gentle moth in his dream. Outside that dream, a couple of visitors entered his cave. The shapes dashed through it as Cube catches up behind them. The shapes stopped as they looked at the sleeping figure that was Blixer. Cube finally catches up and paused in shock. It's him. The grey cactus. He sleeps quietly as the shapes look at him. "Are you going to get rid of him?" The square nodded. The 4 shapes spawned a triangle to get rid of the beast once and for all. The triangle moved around Blixer. Blixer was still in his slumber, he gently smiled as the dream he had made him happy. He calmly said "Luna...". Cube heard him. 'Luna? How did he know about Luna?' He thought. The triangle was gonna go in for the shape until...his head fell over and slammed against the triangle, piercing his head causing pink ooze to come out of him. This cause him to wake from his slumber. He felt his body pumping he looked up to see the triangle. In his head. Pumping power through his veins. It's happening. They gave him a triangle. He smiled wide as he started to laugh as his form started to twitch. He grew in size, his color changing, the power was so much. The shapes watched him laugh as his form was no more. He turned pink and his face was no where to be seen. The crystal floor shook as it cracked and...BOOM. Out from the shards of crystal was a beast. That pink cactus was actually an arm. The beast was a round pink hollow shape. His inside was black, he had sharp teeth and a single eye, his horns sharp and pointy, and his expression was angry. He looked down at the shapes. The shapes shook in fear as they were overwhelmed by fear. The beast smiled evilly, he finally obtained his true form. He looked around the shapes, he was looking for something. Someone. He grew angry and growled heavily. "Where is she?" He said in his deep voice. Cube trembling as he answered. "She? What do you mean?" He looked at the shape closely and saw that it was a cube shape. This is Cube that Luna has been talking about. His anger took over him. "Where. Is. Luna?!" He slammed against the floor. The Cube grabbed the shapes and started to run away from this monster. Blixer didn't like that. He started to punch and break everything in his way as he followed Cube out of the cave. Cube ran out yelling "The monster! He's coming!" He was launched in the air with the shapes when Blixer burst through the cave with such force. He looked around, hoping to find the moth that was Luna, she wasn't here. He roared in angry as started to infect everything with his new found power. Corruption. He caused everything he touched against his will to become pink. Corrupted. The grass was infected and started to spread. The residents panicked as they tried to avoid the corruption. He made his way through the land in hopes of finding Luna but nothing. He made his way to the Treeangle. 'I can finally complete my plan. The plan I started years ago.'

Luna yawned as she woke from her sleep. "What time is it?" She went out of her cottage and went down to the flower field with her wings. She gently float down to the grass and sniffed the flowers. She sighed and smiled. "Nothing is great than the smell of flowers in the morning." Her moment of peace was stopped when she heard a faint roar. A roar? She went back to where her cottage is and went to see what was happening. The sight sent pain through her body. Paradise was turned to chaos. The land covered in pink, the residents screaming trying to escape from pink residents with mindless eyes, and a pink monster going around, destroying in his path. He blasted trees with his pink laser eye and he made his way to the Treeangle. No. "No! Don't do it!" She started to glide over to the tree. She ran as fast as she can. She passed through the trees and the fields and finally made it to the Treeangle. Blixer pulled against the tree, desperately trying to pull it out of the ground. He heard it starting to break off. He smiled as he yanked it out. Treeangle floated as it slowly became corrupted. "That's it. Give in to your new king." He smiled as he watched the tree turn pink. "Stop, you beast!" He looked down at the voice. That voice. He looked to see...Luna. His eyes soften. He smiled gently as he made his way down towards her. Luna was surprised at the sudden change of behavior. She stepped back only to hit against his arm. It blocked her from moving away and moved her closer to him. She panicked as she tried to get away. He hugged her close. She was confused on why this beast was hugging her until...he started humming. Humming to the same melody she made for..."Blixer?" He smiled. "How? What happened to you?" He was about to explain until the 4 shapes came in and started to attack him. He roared at them, trying swat them away, causing him to lose his attention to Luna. She backed away until Cube grabbed her hand and started to run. "What's happening, Cube!?" She asked as they ran. "No time to explain right now! We have to get to somewhere safe."
Blixer swatted one of the shapes down and the other 3 went to check on them. He went to check if Luna was okay only to find her gone. He looked around to see her being dragged away by Cube. He growled and started chasing them. The two noticed. "She's mine!" He slammed against the ground with so much force, it launched them. Cube crashed into a tree, causing it to break and land in the water. Luna, on the other hand, crashed into a rock causing her to get knocked out. Blixer rushes over to her. "Luna?" He grabbed her fragile body. He saw her breathing. She was okay. He looked back at the tree and saw it was fully corrupted. He went back to it and placed Luna down somewhere where she can be safe. He continued his plan by smashing the tree into the ground. The tree started to create a tower. A tower that went up to the sky. The shapes followed him up. The tree broke into 3 pieces. The two pieces went off but the third one was caught by Blixer. He smiled as he started to munch down on the corrupted triangles the piece poured out. His appearance changed. He grew an extra eye, he grew more horns, and gained more power. He looked down at the 4 shapes and started to fight them with his new power. They were weak against him. Once they were tired, he sucked them up and turned his head into a cannon and shot them out of Paradise. He smiled at his victory as he went down from his tower to retrieve his queen. He gently held Luna with his hands. She was so small compared to him. He went back up of his tower where he claimed his crown.
