it's all about timing. 

did i miss my timing? jaehyun wondered. was it too late to run back to your direction and told you about his feelings? jacob probably has taken the chance and confessed to you on your way home. 

he sighed, dragging himself to the bus stop. he saw his bus coming but he was debating if he should board it or not. its now or never. jaehyun ran back to the direction where you went. since he didn't know your exact address, he told you to meet him at the playground around your neighbourhood.

you were surprised when you received a phone call from him. jaehyun seemed to be in a hurry and he was panting. you were about to go in your apartment but you had to make your way to the playground now. if only he called you earlier, you sighed. 

you badly wanted to shower and catch up on my holo love but jaehyun decided to meet you at this timing. you sat at the swing and moved forward and backward while waiting for his arrival. you heard footsteps running and you looked over to see that it was jaehyun.

"did you left something? why are you such in a hurry?" you asked. he was still panting and it took him a while to gain his breath. he held your shoulders and you both locked eyes for a while. "i like you" he confessed. 

you frowned. is today confession day? you knew it falls on 17 september but it's only march. are you going to receive another confession later at night? "you are kidding, right? it was jacob earlier ago, now it's you. you expect me to believe this absurd situation?" you replied and pushed his arms away, wanting to walk away. 

 jaehyun stopped you from walking and made you face him. the light from his eyes were different. it seemed sincere and serious. you could feel your face turn red and you immediately looked somewhere else. "im serious. it took me so long to figure out my feelings.. it took jacob for me to realise what i felt for you. i like you more than just a friend" he said and you slowly turned back to him. 

your heart skipped a beat, hearing his confession. it was a totally different feeling from jacob's confession. then, you remembered about eunseo but he cut you off and told you that he merely found her pretty and no mutual feelings were present. 

"well... i like you too... for the third time. first, when we knew each other from the first class, i found you good looking. but sadly, you were such a cold jerk. second, when we worked together in a group and we keep messing around with each other. but i found out you liked eunseo. third, when we were playing soccer. i keep telling myself to move on from whatever false hope but you know what jaehyun? it's so hard to not like you. you are charming in so many ways that it is impossible for me not to like you" you replied and you could see his smile slowly being lifted. 

 he cupped your cheeks and went in for a fast peck. damn, your face turned real red and he laughed at you.

"but hey, do you prefer to eat a baby lion or a matta baby?" he asked out of the blue. you were confused with the random question. "what's a matta baby?" you asked.

"im good, what about you?" he replied while chuckling. it took you three seconds to understand the pun in the sentence. you lightly punched him in the stomach and he pulled you in for a hug. 

damn, you wanted to go home to tune in for a drama on netflix but you experienced a drama yourself tonight. you were the female lead of this drama. maybe you should call it 180 degrees, considering that he was a really cold guy before you worked with him in this project and things became different.

hahahaha, i hoped you loved this series because i feel like this is my favourite fic out of the three fics that i have! thank you for the support that all of you have given me <3 it really means a lot to me whenever you guys vote and leave down comments!!

honestly, what made me wrote this story was because i actually experienced the same thing.. i was going to move on from my crush who was really cold to me but we were put together to work in a project and we became like really good friends? but i found out he liked someone else and i was just a friend to him :C i really thought i stood a chance but well him being flirty was just a sign of friendliness... but all is good, i actually really moved on from him! do i actually..? HAHAHA i dont know though, we text each other on a daily basis and i catch myself smiling everytime HAISSSSS
