In the K' team base...
"Where is she?!" Maxima shouted. "Where are they? Not only Kula's missing, but Foxy and Diana's missing too?"
"They're probably just messing about," said K', reading the day's newspaper. "Aren't you happy with the amount of peace we're getting?"
"This is a serious problem, aibou," said Maxima. "If she falls into the wrong hands, she can get mind controlled! And her powers may be used for evil! She might go back to being a mindless human weapon!"
"Well she's already mindless," said K' and immediately the newspaper he was reading burst into flames and turned into ashes. "But you're right for once, big guy."
"Yes and I'm kinda worried about her," said Maxima. "Because she isn't the type to run off like this."
"So where do you think she is?" K' asked. "She's definitely not in the ice cream parlour..."
"Well of course not," said Maxima. "You think she's stupid enough to stay there?"
"Maybe?" K' said with a shrug. "You know how crazy she is about ice cream right?"
"No, Aibou," said Maxima. "I searched all over for her. She isn't in any ice cream parlours!"
"Okay okay I get it," said K'. "Let's try asking Kusanagi."
"Kyo?" Maxima asked and K' nodded. "But why? Why Kyo?"
"Because Kyo and I have similar powers," said K', getting up. "And our friend Kula was planning to go and ask why she hates Kyo's fire but not mine."
"Good idea," said Maxima. "Let's just hope she hasn't been burnt to a crisp..."
"No she won't," said K'. "She can neutralise fire with her ice."
"How do you even know this?" Maxima asked. "Have you been playing with your fire with her?"
"No not really," said K'. "I almost burnt the television because it wasn't working. But she neutralised my fire and saved the television."
"You almost burnt the television?" Maxima asked. "What did it ever do to you?"
"It kept giving out that static noise and won't shut up!" K' said. "So I wanted to just burn it down, but luckily she stopped me and fixed it. Turns out it was in the wrong setting."
Soon, both of them went over to the Kusanagi household where Kyo's father, Saisyu was training in his garden, wearing his traditional Kusanagi attire. He was very surprised to see K' and Maxima suddenly showing up at his doorstep. They were gonna ring the doorbell when Saisyu himself confronted them.
"Hey what are you two doing here?" Saisyu asked, stepping in front of the two men. "Why are you visiting my home?"
They were a little shocked to see him instead of Kyo. K' hesitated to answer, but Maxima pushed him forward, urging him to answer.
"We uh... we're here to see Kyo," said K'. "Is he home?"
"Why of course he is," said Saisyu. "Come in."
Saisyu opened the door and they both went in. K' took off his sunglasses due to the darker lighting.
"Shizuka, we have guests," said Saisyu, sitting down. "They're here to see Kyo."
Shizuka brought them some traditional tea and went to call Kyo.
"Kyo, your friends are here to see you!" Shizuka called her son.
"This is awkward..." K' said in a low voice to Maxima while sipping the tea.
"And embarrassing too..." Maxima replied. "I wonder what Kyo's gonna say..."
Kyo soon came out with his cousins, Souji and Aoi. They had come over to stay for a while. The visitors stood up when they saw Kyo and he just looked at the two of them in surprise and confusion.
"What are you doing here?" Kyo asked. "You looking for a fight?"
K' was about to unleash some flames on him but Maxima stopped him and stepped forward.
"We're not here to fight, Kyo," said Maxima. "We're just here to ask you something?"
"Ask me what?" Kyo asked. "You wanna ask me how to defeat me? Or do you still wanna recycle me?"
"That's enough, Kusanagi," said K'. "We're just here looking for our... friend..."
"Who?" Kyo asked. "That ice girl that hates my fire but not yours? Seriously, I still don't get her. Isn't she contradicting herself?"
"I honestly don't know too," K' admitted. "But yeah, we're here to look for her. She's missing, together with those giants. They aren't picking up their phones either!"
"Sorry, sunglasses, but she isn't here," Kyo said with a shrug. "I only have my cousins here for a few days, no Kula here."
"Did she at least come?" Maxima asked. "Like say about... three weeks ago?"
"Nope," said Shizuka. "I've never seen any girl here besides Aoi here for the past one month. Oh and Yuki."
"That's right, fellas," said Kyo. "Go look somewhere else. Try Yagami."
"Oh great," said K'. "Looking at him makes me sick..."
"Well same here, dude, same here," said Kyo. "I don't like him any more than you do."
They left the Kusanagi household and climbed back into their SUV.
"So what do we do now?" K' asked. "Should we really go see Yagami?"
"Do we have a choice?" Maxima asked. "Come on..."
"Isn't he like supposed to be dead or something?" K' asked. "Like I thought all Yagami men die young?"
"I have no idea," said Maxima. "That's what my data says too. Let's go find out ourselves."
They went to Iori's house. He lived with his sister, Aiko. They drove there and Aiko was watering her flower garden. They walked up the lane and Aiko was surprised to see them. She ran in, calling her brother.
"So apparently he is still alive," said K' in a low voice. "Guess he's a lucky Yagami..."
Aiko came back out again with Iori. He looked at them with surprised blue eyes.
"Your eyes..." Maxima said, noticing Iori's blue eyes. "They've changed!"
"Why are you here?" Iori asked, annoyed. "You're still as much of an eyesore as ever!"
"Well, looking at you makes me sick," K' said. "Aren't you supposed to be dead? I thought that Orochi curse would have already gobbled you up by now..."
"Says who?" Iori asked, a red flame forming in his left hand. "I lifted the curse! I don't want to suffer because of a stupid mistake my ancestors did."
"Well, good on you, Yagami," said K'. "You still wanna kill Kyo?"
"Not really," said Iori, the flame on his hand disappearing. "Kagura showed me the truth and I don't really wanna waste my time with that idiot."
"Niisan, I feel like you should at least try to make peace with him," said Aiko. "He seems like a nice guy."
"Have you even met him?" Iori asked. "If you have, then you'll regret ever seeing such a person in your life. Anyway, why have you two come?"
"We're here to see if Kula came here," said Maxima. "Was she here?"
"No she wasn't," said Iori. "But her two giant friends with the big hair came looking for her. I just dismissed them, saying she wasn't here."
"Where did they go?" Maxima asked. "Did they tell?"
"Nope," said Iori, shaking his head. "So I guess you better go too. See ya."
Without much of a choice, they walked out of there.
"She's no where to be found," said K'. "What do we do now?"
"I don't know too," Maxima said. Just then, he noticed a drop under K's light blue eye. "Wait, Aibou! Are you actually crying?!"
"No..." said K', brushing away the teardrop. "I'm not crying. I'm just... really sweaty, that's all."
Maxima kinda believed him. They both leaned on their SUV, thinking where she might be.
"Where could this girl be?" K' asked. "Kula..."
He didn't realise that his phone was ringing, despite his loud ringtone which was KDD-0063.
"Dude, your phone's ringing," said Maxima. "Pick it up, it might be important."
K' took out his phone and looked at it in shock. The call was from Kula.
"It's Kula!" K' said, surprised. "She's calling!"
"Pick it up, quick!" Maxima said.
