It was a very exciting day. You've recently gotten news that Rei decided she wanted to come home.
What happened was...
Earlier in the morning
"Shoto, breakfast." You called to your husband as you placed the last strips of bacon on the plate with the rest.
Todoroki entered while buttoning the last button on his blue shirt. "So much bacon." He says while taking a seat.
"No such thing." You say while taking your seat.
A few seconds passed as you two peacefully enjoyed your breakfast when Todoroki's phone went off.
"Work?" You asked him as he looked at the caller ID.
"No, it's Natsuo." He tells you.
"What is it brother, I'm having breakfast." He says when he answers the phone.
A few seconds past and you saw Shoto's expression change. His fork slipped through his fingers as his eyes widened.
"Are...are you serious?..." He asked Natsuo.
You became concerned as you looked at your husband. "Yeah, I will. I'll call you back in a minute." He hangs up the phone.
"Is everything alright?" You asked.
Todoroki takes a deep breath and looks towards you.
"Mom is leaving the hospital."
You were taken back by what he just said. The last time you've seen Rei outside of the hospital is when she had gotten a day pass to come to the wedding.
"Shoto, that's wonderful!" You say.
"I've got so much to do." He got out of his chair nearly knocking it over as he went to go get his eyes and wallet.
"Wait. Shoto, what do mean?" You say chasing after him.
"I have to fix up a room for her, we gotta get food and make her dinner, I need to call sister to help me, I have to...where are my keys?" He said while looking around.
"In your hand." You say while pointing at his hand.
"Tell me what Big bro said over the phone." You say while grabbing your shoes.
"Natsuo said that sister called him and that Mom decided it was time for her to leave the hospital. We don't want her back at the house, so I decided that she can stay with us until we find her a house and...(y/n), she's finally coming home."
"Come're, Sho." You pulled your husband into a hug as he gave out a shaky sigh.
"Now, what are we gonna do?" You asked.
"Okay, I'm gonna get some things to decorate her room with. Natsuo and Fuyumi are gonna go grocery shopping and get the ingredients for dinner, then Fuyumi will go get mom." He explains.
"Alright, let's go."
Now
"Are you sure she's gonna like her room." Shoto asked after you two were done decorating the guess room.
"Let's step back a little bit and see it from a different angle." You say.
"Alright." Todoroki says while taking a few steps back.

"She's gonna love it, Shoto." You reassured.
"Are you sure?" He asked for the 1,000th time.
"My love, yes. Take a deep breath." You say. Todoroki nods and takes a shaky breath.
That's when the doorbell ranged. "That must be them." Todoroki says, referring to Natsou and Fuyumi.
You answered the door and was greeted with hugs by both siblings. "Hey (y/n)!" Natsou greeted. "Hey big brother." You say while grabbing a few bags of the many groceries they had in their hands.
"I'll go prepare some tea." Shoto says while grabbing the Matcha from the pantry. "We should get started on the food." Natsou suggested while taking everything out of the bags.
While Fuyumi and Shoto were preparing the table, you and Natsou started to prepare the food. The eat-in kitchen was overwhelmed with the wonderful smell of different foods while you and the siblings chatted.
"So (y/n), am I an uncle yet or what?" Natsou asked while chopping up some Bok Choy.
"Pfft, don't rush me." You playfully jabbed his arm. "You know I'm just teasing little sis. But if you want me to, I can give Shoto some pointers."
"Shut up, Natsou." Shoto says.
Fuyumi hides a giggle. "I love what you two did with Mom's new room, I'm jealous."
"Thank you, I told Shoto she'll like it but sadly he doubted me." You say with a dramatic sigh. "I never did, I was just doing a double check." Shoto defends himself.
"I wanna see Mom's room." Natsou protests.
"Finish cooking the Bok Choy, and I'll think about it." Shoto says.
"Have we thought about dessert?" You asked while watching the Yakitori that was grilling.
"Yes, and I want to do the dessert." Todoroki says.
"Alright." Fuyumi then looks at her watch. "I better get going, it's almost time to pick her up."
"Call us when you're leaving the hospital." Shoto says while going into the fridge. "I will, I'll see you guys in a bit." With that, Fuyumi left to go get Rei.
"The old man doesn't know about this right?" Todoroki asked his brother.
"Nah, he dosen't know she's staying here either." Natsou says. "He'll find out sooner or later though."
"I'm not worried about that right now." Todoroki says while making the dessert.
You wiped the sweat of your brow and once again preheat the oven. "I've never cooked so much in my life." You say while placing another finished dish on the table.
"Same, most of the food I make I just have to put it in the microwave." Natsuo says.
"Cause you're lazy." Todoroki says.
Natsou laughs. "Says the person who eats soba 24/7."
"It's my favorite food, and it can be served hot or cold, which makes it convenient for a midnight snack."
"Where is this going?" You asked. "I don't know." Natsuo shrugged.
"(y/n), sweetheart, is there room in the freezer?" Shoto asked.
"Yeah, I think so." You say.
"How long does Bok Choy have to cook?" Natsuo says growing impatient. "It's done, take it out I need the wok so I can stir-fry the Choy sum." You say grabbing a plate for Natsuo.
Todoroki grabs his phone once he heard it buzz. "That was Fuyumi, she's on her way."
"We're just about done with everything." You say while putting the cups and drinks at the table.
"I'll start cleaning the pots and stuff." Natsuo says while grabbing all the stuff you guys cooked with and starting up the sink and dishwasher.
"The dessert isn't done yet." Todoroki says while gesturing towards the freezer. "By the time we're done with dinner, it'll be done." You reassured.

As Natsuo placed the last item in the dishwasher, he heard the sound of a car pulling up. "That's them!" He alerted you both.
"Alright, that should be it." Todoroki says as he looked at the finished table.
You all heard the front door open then close. "Everyone's in the kitchen." You heard Fuyumi's voice.
She walked into the kitchen with Rei close behind.
The two stood in the threshold and both her and Todoroki met eyes.
