Closeted!Todoroki x Male!Reader 

(I did this one-shot a few years ago, but I think I could've done better with this One-shot so I'm writing it again)

Side note, Some of the character's personalities were altered to fit the one-shot, if it's gonna bother you, I suggest you find another one-shot.

You came out of the closet a few years ago, what had happened was...

Two years ago

"Hey Dad?" You say coming into the living room.

"What can I do for you, bud?" Your Dad, present mic asked.

"So, long story short, I'm gay." 

He dropped his coffee and you flinched from the sudden action.

"I KNEW ITTTTTT!!"

"Huh? Wait, I'm confused." You say.

"YOU FINALLY TOLD ME! I'M SO HAPPY, YOU FINALLY SAID IT!"

"So, you're saying you're not mad or...shocked?" 

"Why would I!? I knew the whole time, I saw how you used to blush when Inuyasha or Sesshomaru would come on the TV, you couldn't fool me!" Mic says with a laugh.

"Well, good talk." You say.

"I'm so happy! I'm gonna plan a coming-out party for you!"

"Oh my God, Dad. Please stop." You begged while running back to your room.

And since then, you've been an openly gay male. No one caught your interest honestly. You thought Deku was cute, Bakugou was alright, Kirishima was with Bakugou, Sero was cute, Denki was really cute but it was rumored that he was with Shinsou or something like that.

You mentally sigh of boredom as you sat in class barely listening to the lecture. Finally, class was over and you were collecting your things. You were looking down at your phone as you were walking out of the class when you bumped into someone. 

"Sorry." You looked up seeing who you bumped into. And it was Todoroki.

"It's alright." He said softly. You quickly walked out of the class with your cheeks turning pink. "That was awkward, and I've never heard him speak before."

You were sitting at a table and overhearing the girls talk about how cute Shoto was. You mentally rolled your eyes. "He's not all that cute." 

Then you paused.

"Why am I telling myself false information?" "Why am I confused now?" "What the Hell was I even debating about?"

You covered your face and groaned.

"Are you alright?" You heard a husky voice. 

You peaked through your fingers seeing Todoroki. "Yeah?" You muffled through your hands. 

"I want some strawberry milk, do you want to get some with me?" He offered.

"Um...alright." You say getting up from your seat and following Todoroki towards the vending machines. 

"I wanted to talk to you." He says while grabbing the strawberry milk.

"About what?" You asked while poking your straw into the carton.

"I think you're cute."

That's when you snorted and strawberry milk came out your nose. You quickly covered your nose as your eyes widened.

"Your nose is messy." Todoroki says while handing you a napkin.

You cleaned yourself up and took a deep breath. "I think you're cute." Todoroki repeats.

"Really?" You say, not finding the right response.

"Yeah, can I tell you something?" He asked.

"You may." Getting prepared of what he was going to say next.

"I'm...closeted and...I didn't know who to tell...or how to tell it." He says.

"Why me?" You asked, your mind still trying to comprehend everything that was going on.

Todoroki looks down. "I have a crush on you." He says barely audible. 

It felt like your soul left your body, he just confessed to you right on the stairs of the second floor. 

"It's okay if you don't like me back, I'll understand." He goes on.

You then realized that you were taking too long to respond. "What if I told you that, I think it's sweet you're crushing on me, and I think you're pretty cute too."

You mentally slapped yourself for saying it like that. 

Todoroki gives you a small soft smile and looks away. "I want to date you but...if my old man finds out he'll kill me, and I don't want you to get in the crossfire."

"Well, no one really has to know about us." You say.

"You mean like, to date in secret?"

"Yeah, to be honest, it's no one's business whether we're together or not." You say truthfully.

Todoroki nods. "So, how do we do it?"

"We meet outside of school, and we text each other and see how it'll go from there. By the way, I need your number." You say.

"Alright." Todoroki hands you his phone and you input your number in it. "Just for now, we can just text each other." You say.

Todoroki nods and gets his phone back. You two quietly sat on the steps like nothing ever happened. But, Todoroki speaks up again.

"You know, it's this cafe that I always pass, would you like to go sometime?"

"I would like that, that sounds nice." You say while getting up from your spot.

"I'll text you after school, we can talk about it then."

"Alright." You wave and make your way up the stairs.
