Mr.Nolan had patched me up after all the chaos and left me to rest until I felt up to returning to my cabin. I didn't know if I'd feel up to that for a good while... I was terrified to leave the safety of the medical tent to face the hate of everybody else in the camp, and whoever my cabin mate was while I was here. I was going to miss having my own cabin. Oh well. Right now there was only one other person in the medical tent. After being beat to crap by everyone I've known the majority of my life she just sorta threw me over my shoulder and walked me in here. She was awfully strong for a girl so small.. I was definitely wondering why Wendi of all people would help me instead of beating me up with everyone else however.
'Are you okay?' The banshee signed.
"Oh uhm... I'm fine." Actually I felt like a piece of sh*t. But I'm physically going to be okay so that doesn't matter.
'Do you know sign language or are you just good at guessing?' She looked a bit surprised.
"I had Mr.Nolan teach me after you came here.. believe it or not I'm not always an ignorant **shole."
'No offense but that's surprising.' She replied.
"Hey!"
'You kinda pick on everyone, constantly.' .. okay she has a point.
".. I don't really want to." I admitted quietly.
'It's that vampire idiot isn't it? I feel like he'd enjoy watching a baby bleed out.' She scowled at the mention of Ven. Honestly I doubted that assumption was wrong. I changed the subject.
"I'm Runt." I said. Why didn't I tell anyone my real name? Beats me. But I was tiny. So for some reason that meant 'Runt' must be a perfectly logical name.
'That's the stupidest name I've ever heard.' To most people anyway.
"You're Wendi right?"
'How do you know that?'
"Sky shouts your name whenever she sees you."
'Oh yeah..'
"Yeah uh... can I ask you something?"
'No.'
"Whyd you help me?" She squinted at me before sighing.
'I felt it wasn't fair for you to be gained up on by so many people for something you didn't want to happen in the first place.' She stated.
"It was still my fault.. I was the one out at the edge of the forest. I was practically tempting fate."
'Usually even out there we're so far from human civilization there's no danger.' She replied, 'You didn't do anything wrong. Now stop being depressed.'
".. I guess you're right." I said, ".. I should probably head to my cabin."
'Me too.'
We got up and I was a bit confused were heading the same way. Maybe our cabins were just close by. Then we ended up in front of the same one. Oh. This is the person I'm bunking with. Both of us had our stuff in the room already, mine had been unpacked, she'd just left hers in a bag on the bed she claimed for herself before I found the cabin that afternoon when we arrived. She immediately moved her bag off the bed and went to sleep. I, on the other hand, decided purposely not to sleep. My mind was restless with thoughts of what had happened in the past few days, not to mention how fast everybody ended up hating me. He was terrified, these werewolf hunters were probably the same type of people who'd killed my parents so long ago. Now they were after me... and I seriously doubted anyone would have my back if they came for me. Eventually however, despite my attempts sleep struck its blow and I'd fall into a slumber at some point during the night. I woke up.. far... far outside of camp. Either of them. I had no clue where I was... there was a note by me, I picked it up and read it, 'Good Riddance - Ven'
Oh course... hed sold me out. He wanted me to get caught. I got up uneasily, looking around. Maybe I could find my way back? I began walking around, trying to find anything familiar. For hours on hours it'd be nothing. Then.. my cabin at the first camp, right on the outskirts. I rushed over, oh thank god! Maybe I could find some map to the other camp. When I went further in however.. everything looked turned over, ransacked even. The humans must have found this place.. I hoped they weren't still here. And that they didn't find whatever they were looking for. I walked around uneasily, jumping at every noise. However, I hadn't thought to look under me and as I walked into a mess hall was swooped up by my ankle into a trap. I squirmed and struggled to get free to no avail. It was honestly humiliating this worked...
I'd be quite literally left hanging for hours before anyone came. Sadly it wasn't a camp counselor who'd noticed I was gone and and decided to search for me... no. It was a human. He smirked, "Well, didn't think *you'd* come to us." He chuckled, he wore a shirt with an odd pattern of different greens.. Ven had a blanket with the same color scheme. I was pretty sure he'd called it camo. The human also wore some beige colored pants, and had a belt with a gun on it. Undoubtedly full of silver bullets. "Get Stacey!" He shouted. There was the sound of someone outside rushing off, and before long a woman in similar dress returned, holding what looked like two odd metal bracelets with a chain connecting them. Currently the bracelets were opened. After a struggle from me she managed to get them around my wrists. I think the metal was at least part silver because it *burned* like nothing else. They took me down, and with me still struggling tried to get me out of the mess hall.
"F*ck this." 'Stacey' grumbled, taking her gun and hitting me with this back of it on the back of the head. I fell unconscious.
