BloodRose Dawn Ch 1 Part 1

It was 8:00 AM in the morning, and H.A. was fast asleep when the cukoo clock they owned went off, waking them from their slumber. They stretched and yawned before getting up to shower and brush their sharp teeth. On their way out the door, they waved bye to their cat, Jazmine.Jazmine: See you tonight!H.A.: Yep!H.A. stepped onto the porch, locking the door behind them. As soon as they were off the porch they launched themself into the air. Spreading their wings and gliding towards work (a small shoe shop on the other side of town).They landed in front of the shop and walked in, everything was quiet beside the ticking of the clock. H.A. noticed their boss, Mr. Inferno, at the register, attending to a visitor. His assistant, Biscuit, however, was staring at H.A. nervously.H.A. waved at him and smiled nervously before hurrying to the back room and taking a seat at their workdesk, but they didn't work, they leaned back and wondered why Biscuit looked so unnerved.After a few minutes, Mr. Inferno walked in looking grim.

H.A.: Hello sir... Something wrong?

Mr. Inferno: Actually, yeah... Yeah there's somthin' wrong...

H.A.: What is it? *Fingers the bandages around their chest nervously*

Mr. Inferno: There was money missin' from the register last night...I think ya did it...

H.A.: W-what!?

Mr. Inferno: Yer fired... Get out...

H.A.: B-but sir!

Mr. Inferno: OUT!

After a moment, H.A. calmly left the shop and stood beside a thick tree.Suddenly they balled their fist and punched the tree as hard as they could, causing it to crack at the trunk. They yelled loudly, ears folded and eyes glowing red. They launched high into the sky and glided there for a moment, eyes closed and face twisted into a scowel.They began falling, and as they were about to hit the ground they launched towards their house.They went inside and flopped onto their bed. Jazmine looked at them curiously.

Jaz: Umm... Back so soon?

H.A.: *Screams into their pillow*

Jaz: *Thinks a minute* W-wait... Did he fire you!?

H.A.: *Nods into their pillow and looks up at Jaz* And on false accusation too...

Jaz: *Growls* That jerk!

H.A.: Let's just forget about it... I need to find a new job...
