The band stopped at a little restaurant and sat at a big half-circle booth. Janet entered one side, and Joey went in from the opposite. Janet felt a force behind her. Corey pushed Janet farther into the boot, and the others did the same quickly before the two could complain. Janet and Joey met in the middle, roughly pressed into each others' sides.
"Corey!" Janet puffed, "I can't breathe!"
"Get off of me, Mick!" Joey complained.
They laughed before letting up, but only enough for breathing room. Janet's face was flushed pink, but it wasn't good enough for Corey.
Corey lent into Janet's ear and whispered lowly, "You know you wanna kiss him."
Her face was tomato red now, and she clamped a hand over her mouth to keep herself at bay. She took her boot and stepped on Corey's toes, grinding them with her sole.
He let off, and ground his teeth together, before punching her arm.
After receiving their drinks, and finally getting their food, the SlipKnot gang laughed and talked up a storm.
Janet wasn't paying all that much attention, but Sid said something that made her die of laughter. She went to take a sip of her Coke, and that's when Sid said it. Janet nearly choked on her drink and spilled some of it on Joey's shirt and lap. Everyone froze, eyes wide at Joey.
Janet howled with laughter, snorting and gasping till her back muscles ached. The others joined in too. Janet even made Craig laugh so hard he fell onto the floor. Sid and Corey high-fived discreetly.

SlipKnot had just finished recording in the studio in the house they all shared. They had been on a long tour, so it was the first time she stepped foot in it.
Janet sat on the couch, her attention glued to the television.
"Joey!" Shawn called.
Joey crossed Janet's line of sight, entering the Kitchen. Janet had got up from her seat to look for the remote to turn the volume up.
"Yeah?"
Their conversation became harsh whispers.
"I don't wanna share a room with her!"
Janet froze. Corey had stepped through the doorway, he heard it too, and they locked eyes.
"Found the remote" Janet placed it on the coffee table before fleeing to the comfort of her bed.
🥁🥁🥁
Janet had left the bathroom after a nice hot shower and put on her pajamas. She left their room and headed for the Kitchen for a glass of water and a late snack.
"Hey," Shawn entered.
"Hey," Janet replied, not facing him.
Shawn propped himself against the counter. Janet began to make herself a sandwich.
"Corey told me what happened."
Janet didn't speak, instead, grabbing a stool to help herself reach the peanut butter on the top shelf.
"You know, he does like you."
Janet paused, then blew it off, "Sure he does." then left for her shared room.
Sitting alone, with nothing but a small lamp dully illuminating the bedroom, Janet mulled over what Shawn had told her.
In her heart, she believed him, but in her head, she couldn't understand why. It ignited dead experiences within her mind. She met a boy who had treated her the same. But somehow they became a couple, but he never changed. In the end, he remained a bully and kept her hidden away from family and friends. Joey was a very kind man, but Janet couldn't understand why she received such an attitude from him.
She couldn't help herself, and let her mind be overwhelmed by him. His hair was long and pretty, with two red streaks on either side. Though he wasn't very tall, he was at least taller than her. She barely stood at 5 feet. His hands were drummer hands for sure. Thick and experienced. And Joey had the prettiest of blue eyes she had ever seen. Not to mention his pouty lips.
Janet caught herself. She rolled over onto her stomach and buried her face deep into her pillow, letting out a frustrated groan.
Joey finally emerged from the bathroom and got into his bed. He turned off the lamp and rolled over on his side.
"Joey?" Janet spoke just above a whisper
Though he didn't answer, his body shifted slightly to hear her better.
"I'm sorry for spilling my drink on you earlier."
🥁🥁🥁
The next morning, Janet stretched and got dressed for the day after her morning shower.
Craig made breakfast for everyone. Janet thanked him for the food by hugging him.
She then met up with Jim, Mick, and Corey in the recording studio.
Joey was lounging around the studio, bored. He watched Janet and the other's collaborate.
Her smile irritated him. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and interest. He loved how green they were. And every time she'd push her glasses up her nose, Joey found it cute.
Corey took a seat beside him, "Uh-oh, someone's gettin' a boner." he smirked.
Joey instinctively covered his crotch. He couldn't believe he fell for Corey's joke.
"Haha, very funny," Joey replied dryly.
They fell silent for a minute.
"It's too bad she's into Jim," Corey sighed nonchalantly.
Joey crossed his arms, "Shut up, Corey."
"Are you guys listening!" Janet interrupted. She was piggybacking Mick. "Can we please get something to eat now?" she huffed. "Mick and I are starving!"
Corey thought about it for a while. He glanced at Jim in the background who nodded his head and mouthed to him, "I got an idea."
"Yeah, I'm starving too, let's go." Corey played it off as if nothing happened.
"Woo!" Mick and Janet cheered, marching out of the studio.
Jim and Corey both looked at each other, then Joey. "You're hungry," Said Jim.
"But, I already a--"
Jim cut him off. "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you."
Corey and Jim then seized Joey, and drug him out of the room, grinning maniacally.
