Chapter 21

This was not good, not good at all. Kongpob was pacing in front of the bed in their bedroom, cursing and swearing. Arthit was half lying on the bed, watching the Alpha nervously. Arthit had woken up around five in the morning, feeling all hot and uncomfortable, which had woken up Kongpob as well. The Alpha had switched on the light to check on his Phii and in an instant, it was clear what had made the latter uncomfortable. Seeing his Phii all swollen and huge like a balloon, Kongpob's first reaction was to panic and call Dr. K. but a moment later he had collected himself and dialed Wayo's number.

The bell rang and Kongpob rushed to open the door.

"It's okay, N'Kongpob. Let's see what's up, shall we?" Wayo smiled and for some reason, Alpha already felt relieved.

"Whoa! You are looking all big and chubby Arthit. If it wasn't for the fact that it's not just normal weight gain, I might have thought your nong here would have found you irresistibly cute, huh?"

Kongpob groaned, "Phii.." The Alpha couldn't deny though. He couldn't wait for his Phii to gain weight and look all pink and cute. Mind out the gutter, Kong, we have some real problem here.

"Relax nong. This looks like just water retention from too much sodium, nothing else okay," Wayo assured with a smile as he took Arthit's vitals.

"Too much sodium? But I thought it would be okay if he had some soup that night, right Phii?"

Wayo frowned, "Yes, it should have been, unless.." The cute Omega turned sharp eyes towards Arthit, "Nong, tell me you are not cheating on the diet..?"

The pregnant Omega shrank back and looked through his lashes at his Alpha guiltily. Kongpob couldn't help himself, "Phii!!! When? How?"

"I'm sorry Kong. Don't be mad at me na..please.."

Kongpob moved closer to Arthit and crouched down, cradling one of his swollen feet. The Alpha didn't want to scare his Phii, so he gently rubbed at the feet and said softly, "But look, Phii. Look, what has happened now..When did you cheat anyway?"

Arthit swallowed, "Umm..yesterday, when I met up with P'Earth and Todd, you know?"

"You said you only had a small pink-milk."

"Well..I'm sorry Kong. But it was so tempting. I couldn't resist. I'm sorry my nong. Please.."

The couple didn't even realize that Wayo had left the room a few minutes back and had now come back with a bottle of liquid that had tinge lemon color to it.

"What did you have, anyway N'Arthiit?"

When the pregnant man looked down guiltily, Kongpob sighed, "Dried fish again? What is with you and dried fish? Do you not realize that dried fish is full of salt and the restaurants wouldn't even use the good stuff?!" The Alpha stood up and started pacing, "Phii, you not only cheated on your diet, but you also lied about it!"

The Alpha's voice was raised, clearly indicating the exasperation. Wayo came up to him, placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's okay, Kongpob. These things happen, okay? And we will get this sorted in no time at all."

Kongpob looked at the person and let out a breath. "Kharp Phii. Thank you."

"Okay, we are going no-salt diet for today. You will have fresh fruits, salads and maybe some porridge, but that's it for today. I have prepared some green tea with lemon. You will take in a lot of fluids throughout the day, preferably warm. Diuretics will help cleanse and get rid of any retention. You should be normal by tomorrow, okay Arthit?"

"Kharp Phii."

"And no more cheating, okay. If you do crave something tell us, especially if you end up eating something you shouldn't. Do you understand me?"

Arthit nodded immediately, "Kharp Phii. I promise."

Kongpob sat down in a chair, feeling slightly better, knowing that Wayo could take care of this. He sighed but then closed his eyes, suddenly feeling tired.

"Good. Now drink this. You will finish this bottle in two of three hours and then I will make another one for you, okay Arthit," Wayo said as he handed a mug of steaming liquid to the pregnant man, who accepted it with a grateful smile.

Arthit peed many times during the day and his swollen limbs were back to their normal size by nightfall.
