Life is a series of
Disappointments cast by the
Dark spells of
Depression
-Ecchi Sushi-You sighed as you walked through the gloomy hallways of the prestigious school in Japan, Kunugigaoka Junior High School. This school divided the students into five different classes, the A-class, for the most top students, in other words, the so-called "chosen ones". The B-class, for students who excel in a few subjects. The C-class, for students who did average. The D-class, for students who need improvement. And last but not least, the E-class. To be quite frank, you've never thought of them as "stupid" or "useless". In fact, most of them were good people, that were just slacking off on their studies. They were given so-called, "privileges" which in reality, were just unexplainable treatments towards the E-class and letting the other students from different classes make fun of them. The students would always call them "the End class". The school even separated them from the main campus and placed them in an old school campus up on a mountain. Even the teachers made fun of them during assemblies and school events. That certainly IS a prestigious school to you.
You landed in the A-class, due to your outstanding grades and being a fantastic swordswoman. The top student of the school, Asano Gakushuu, the pride and joy of Kunugigaoka, was of course in the same class as you. He was the president of the student council, and on top of all that, the principal's son. Being loved and feared by his schoolmates, he and his minions- EXCUSE ME "friends" formed the Big Five. Which included Teppei Akari, Ren Sakakibara, Natsuhiko Koyama, Tomaya Seo and most importantly Asano himself. Asano was ALWAYS swarmed by his fan girls, which didn't really bother you. You could see why they loved Asano, his looks, his grades, basically the perfect man. He wasn't any trouble to you in any form. Except for one small thing.
As you walked into class, you looked over to where Asano was. He was sitting in his chair, doing some math questions as different classmates came up to him to ask for assistance in their studies. Especially girls. They were all annoying and bitchy, which really wasn't a surprise. (I mean what school doesn't have at least one bitchy girl or person in the class?) You mentally told yourself to go to school earlier, just to avoid the crowd swarming around Asano's desk. To make matters worse, you were seated at the back, at the left corner near the windows. That meant that you had to walk past Asano's desk, which was located right in front of the teachers desk and near the classroom entrance. Every morning, you had to go through the trouble of squeezing past those girls and try to not tick them off. You seldom participated in club activities, or after-school events. The study sessions, or which Asano and the Big Five call it the "study groups" that happened during lunch, you didn't participate in them too. You weren't really social, and you tend not to work well with crowds of people. You knew that it would leave an unpleasant impression to the other students, but you couldn't care less. As you managed to squeeze past the girls, you walked over to your seat and plopped your bag down on the floor. You sat down and rested your chin on your hands, looking outside the window, to be met with a grey sky full of clouds.
A few minutes later, the school bell rang, signalling the start of first period. You opened your notebook and started to scribble whatever the teacher said, not paying any attention to anyone nor the book. You drifted off into the magical world of daydreams, as you waited for the fifth bell to ring, awaiting lunch time.
(Time skip brought to you by Nagisa trying on maid outfits)
You grabbed your lunch out from your bag as you heard the bell ring. It was lunchtime, meaning that it was also study time. You were about to escape from the back door, but you were stopped by a pair of lavender eyes.
"(Y/N)-San, please stay where you are." The strawberry blonde said as he made his way towards you. You looked up from your lunchbox, gazing at Asano. "What can I do for you, Asano-San." You plastered up a fake smile on your face, displeased by the fact that Asano was ruining your time to restore energy and spending some sweet ass time with your delicious lunch. Asano stepped in front of the back door, blocking your exit. You mentally frowned as you kept your smile, facing Asano. "I apologise, but I believe I haven't gotten your last name yet, (Y/N)-San. Is it perhaps something confidential? It is rude to call you by your first name, considering we haven't met for long." The strawberry blonde asked with a stern look on his face. Classmates were starting to look your way, watching your interaction with the top student. You closed your eyes, as you breathed in the strawberry scent radiating off the boy in front of you. You mustered up a wide grin as you mentally face palmed yourself. Just how many times do I have to act today. You thought to yourself as you opened your eyes once more, parting your lips.
"I deeply apologise for troubling you, Asano-kun. My last name is not at all confidential and I'm willing to share it. I am not ashamed nor feel any negative emotions towards it." You spoke as you felt more eyes on you, as you mentally gulped. You still weren't comfortable getting stared at. (Bruh who wouldn't be uncomfortable).
"Akabane. My name is (Y/N) Akabane."
