we walked out to the car and i could feel my cheeks getting hot.

i tried to tell myself i was just overthinking because i probably was but my jealousy was getting the best of me.

the car ride was silent which was odd for us.

we all got to the hotel and walked in with our bags.

we stopped by and dropped off cynthia and anthony.

cynthia pulled me to the side

"is everything good with you and ya know payton?"

"i don't know" i replied watching payton walked forward without me and chase.

"i think it's something with maddy but gosh i hope not." i said not taking my eye off of payton.

"shit really?" she said "i hope not either."

"i'll text you if i find out anything ok?" i said

"ok" she touched my shoulder in a reassuring way.

chase and i walked to our room but on the way there it was also silent

"hey race ya to the room?" chase said with a wide smile on his face.

"you never fail to amaze me hudson." i said smiling not looking at him.

"hey it'll get better i'm sure it's nothing." he said pulling me into a side hug.

"maybe it was just something he ate." i said laughing hoping he'd get it.

he chuckled "yeah definitely."

we got to the room and i saw payton sitting on the bed scrolling through tik tok.

i sat beside him looking at him while he on the other hand stayed looking at his phone.

"hey." i said waving a hand in front of his phone. "hi" he replied back without looking away still.

i got on my phone to see what would happen and 5 minutes past and still nothing from him.

seriously? he posted? i thought to myself

i looked over at chase like i needed to talking to payton privately. he took the hint.

"i'm gonna go bother noen be back guys." he said winking at me.

"okay bye chase." payton and i said simultaneously.

"hey can we talk?" i asked payton. "sure" he said turning off his phone and facing me.
