Here you were, sitting on the bedroom floor of your apartment, crying. You looked at your phone. 03:56 AM... ''Why does this always happen to me...'' you thought. You broke up with your now ex-boyfriend... again... you never seem to learn and he never seems to change. You got back together four times in the past year, but this was it. You couldn't take it anymore. You couldn't handle hearing him say he loves you one day and him completely ghosting you the next day but you seem to fall for it every damn time.

But this was it. You never broke down this hard, he hurt you so bad. You tried to fall asleep all night but your mind can't seem to leave you alone. You tried to get your mind away from the whole situation and started scrolling through your social media. But it didn't take long for you to go back to reading his old text messages.

After half an hour you out your phone down and started crying again, you couldn't hold back the tears. Just when you started to calm down a bit again, your phone started ringing. It's Max, my best friend. He's on the other side of the world, he knew it was nighttime over here, why was he calling you, knowing you would normally be asleep at this time, he would never do that.

''Max?'' you answered as normal as possible. ''It's almost 5 AM, why are you calling?'' ''I saw you were online just a couple of minutes ago, I figured there was something going on, tell me'' You took a deep breath ''(Y/E/N) and I broke up... again...'' you told him, trying to hold back the tears you felt welling up again. ''Again?'' he sounds disappointed ''(Y/N)... leave him be, he won't change, he doesn't deserve you!'' ''I know'' you said ''I just can't seem to get over him...'' ''I know it's hard babe, but you will get through this and I promise I'll be your side every step of the way!'' he assured you and you started to feel better already. ''I'll tell you what, you're on summer break right? I'll book a plane ticket for you, you can come to me and we're gonna have the best summer ever!'' Did he really just say that? You'd love to see him again, but this is so not you! You wanted everything planned properly and way ahead of time, but you decided to do it anyway and you were kinda proud of yourself for doing so. ''uhh... alright, I guess, I mean, I don't have any plans anymore anyway, so let's do it!'' ''YAAYYY!!'' Max screamed really loud, so loud you had to take your phone away from your ear for a couple of seconds. ''Right, I'll gonna book a plane ticket straight away! I'll text you everything you need know as soon as I can, in the meantime you can go get some sleep (Y/N), you'll need it'' he told you. He was so sweet in times like this. ''Okay, thank you Max, I really needed this'' you said to him. ''No problem at all'' you could almost hear him smile through the phone. ''Oh, and (Y/N)? Don't worry, okay? Everything will be okay'' he told you and right at that time, all your worries and sadness seemed to fade away immediately. ''See you soon, Max'' you smiled and ended the call. You found yourself still sitting on your bedroom floor. You smiled at the thought of Max and how sweet he was. You stood up and went to lay in your bed, plugging in your phone to charge. As you plugged it in the screen lit up.

It made you smile again. You put your phone down and rolled over to your back. You fell asleep, thankful for having such an amazing friend.
