**Luke's POV**
Venus has been in labor for 6 hours, her contractions happening every 15 minutes to an hour which Venus took as a chance to sleep as much as she could. everyone took turns coming in to see Venus, she was in a birthing bed so she didnt have to go to a separate room when it was time to deliver.
Venus squeaked in pain as she gripped my hand tightly and my eyes widened as she was almost screaming in pain. i stood up as i breathed, "Venny follow my breathing." i soothed as the nurse came in the room and timed it as Venus's brown eyes squeezed shut as she cried, "fuck!"
Brittany rubbed a cool cloth on Venus's burning skin as she started to sweat, my mom gripped her other hand in hers as we tried to get Venus to breath.
"breath baby, look at me." i whispered soothingly as she pried her eyes open and glanced up and into my eyes as i smiled, "breathe..." she nodded as i wiped her tears away with my thumb as she tried to breath through the contraction. once it ended the nurse nodded and smiled, "lets see how dilated you are." Venus nodded as she put Venus's legs up on the sternups and instantly put her gloved hand between Venus's legs. i knew she was checking to see how dilated she was but it was still weird.
"5 centimeters." Venus tossed her head back groaning. she wanted this over with and so did i just so she wasnt in pain anymore. "Luke i dont know how much more i can take..."
"shhh... baby you are the strongest women i know next to my mom, you can do this. im right here. you arent alone. just breath love. do you need Nick?" she nodded as Brittany smiled, "ill go get him." i nodded to her as she left the room and Venus cried, "it hurts so much..."
"i know it does. you are so strong, just keep thinking that Avery will be here soon, keep imagining that. our princess will be here soon." Venus nodded, "im trying...." i kissed her forehead as i handed her the cup of ice chips.
"hey little sis." we heard as Venus cried and pulled her hand out of my mom's grip as Nick grabbed it and gave her hand a squeeze, "just breath. it'll be over soon."
another contraction hit as the nurse was already in the room and Venus instantly squeezed our hands as Nick grunted, "damn shes got a grip." i chuckled as i did the breathing technique, "Venny breath....come on love." she looked in my eyes as i showed her the technique and she copied my actions as she gripped my hand tightly in hers.
it felt like my hand was gonna break but i didnt let it show knowing she was in so much more pain than i was. the nurse nodded once the contraction ended, "90 seconds. and that was 10 minutes apart. you're half way there." Venus groaned as the nurse stayed in the room incase she had another contraction.
5 minutes later she had another one and she screeched in pain as she cried, "fucking hell." Nick soothed his sister as i got her to do the breathing exercises with me as she cried and leaned her forehead against my chest. i rubbed the hand that wasnt holding hers through her damp hair as i kissed a kiss to the top of her hair, "breath baby...its almost over." i whispered as she cried, "it hurts..."
