Why Us?

Baby

     I sat there squeezing Aaron's hand.

     "Push on 3," The doctor said, "1..2..3 push!" 

     "Again, 1...2...3 push!" The doctor said. I did and suddenly I felt a sense of relief and heard a baby crying. The doctor picked it up and wiped it down with a towel.

     "It's a boy," The doctor said handing the crying baby to me. I held him in my arms and felt Aaron's arms around me as I held our son. 

     "Welcome to the world, Alex," Aaron said down to our son as I nursed him to sleep. Aaron kissed me. 

     "We have a family," I smiled up at him.

     "I know," He said.

     Days later we went home. I was sitting on the couch holding Alex while Aaron had to go back to work. Suddenly someone knocked. I opened it and smiled. It was Kawaii~Chan.

     "Kawaii~Chan," I smiled.

     "Aphmau, it's so nice to see you. Can I come hold Alex?" She asked.

     "Of course, come on in," I smiled and let her in. I made her use hand-sanitizer before holding Alex. We sat on the couch as we talked and Kawaii~Chan played with the baby. After a while Aaron came home. I smiled and got up to greet him. I kissed him on the cheek. He smiled and kissed me. 

      "How was your day?" I asked.

      "Good, how was your's?" He asked.

      "Good," I smiled. Aaron came over and sat down by me and Kawaii~Chan and held Alex.

      "I'm going to go back home. It was nice talking to you Aphmau. Thanks for letting me play with little Alex," She said walking to the door.

       "Nice to see you too. Bye," I smiled. Aaron got up and cooked dinner. We had a little baby!
