Shivika ss- The light of my life

~ Chapter 5 ~

There was a doorbell that ringed and furious Karan went to open the door as all the servants left work as soon as Anika left the house. He opened the door and found a man in a black formal suit while having some files in his hands and a girl standing next to him holding a dairy in her hand. "What do you guys want from me and who are you," asked Karan rudely.

"Mr. Karan I am Miss Anika Mukherjee's lawyer and she is my secretary; can we please come in and talk," said the man.

"Ok fine come in," Karan said little calmly as he did not want to invite and problems by talking to a government official like this.

They came in and sat on the sofa while the girl placed a camera in a way that everything can be recorded. "Mr. Karan, myself Mr. Bose and I am here to give you a court notice sent by Miss. Mukherjee. The notice says that my client wants divorcee from you and that too with half share in everything that is owned by you. She wants to be the major shareholder in whatever is owned by you. In the notice she has also mentioned, you must leave this house of hers by tomorrow morning and all the assets provided by her to you will be taken back from you. If you don't divorcee her in the family court, then she will take you to the supreme court for fraud and money laundering in her business. She has proof that you were involved in money laundering and fraud that happened with her company last month. So, if you don't want to get in any trouble then please sign these papers," said Mr. Bose. With every passing minute and every line that Mr. Bose said Karan was getting shocked as he thought she will not say anything to anyone as she had no proof against him but here she has planned for his death. He was so shocked that he became a statue with each passing minute.

"I need some time to think about this. I will get back to you by tomorrow morning. Now you both can leave," said Karan with calmness, but still equal rage in his tone. Mr. Bose left the house with his secretary and went straight to his car while Karan started breaking everything in the room.

"How dare she do this to me. I keeping her in control from the last one year and suddenly she got so much courage that she left the house. How dare she, I am not going to leave her, and he called his guards and asked if they found her, but their reply enraged him more. How dare you all, what do you mean you will not follow my orders anymore while a voice from the other side said we worked for mam, not for you and we were there so that nothing major happens with mam. We never killed you because you were married to our mam and she asked us to not take any actions otherwise we would have killed you that day only when you first raised your hand on our mam. The guard then cuts his call and in anger, Karan breaks the vase. He then another guard who worked for him in disguise but even he did not know where Anika has disappeared. Where the hell did, she go? I should have got those papers signed by her before only but stupid me. I married her for her property and now she wants my property too. Argh! He in anger started confessing every wrongdoing that he did with Anika. He then sat there on the sofa and started thinking about the next step he should take to save himself when he again heard a doorbell and went to open a door. He again saw the same girl that came with the lawyer and a guard along with her. "Yes, how may I help you?" said Karan.

"umm. I forgot my dairy on your sofa would you mind if I get it back," said the girl. Karan did not let her come inside as he had created a mess in the hall so he asked her to wait there and he will get the dairy. He went there and got the dairy and gave it to her and as soon as she left from there she directly went to the hospital. When she entered the ward, she was instantly rewarded with the questioning from Anika and Shivay. She passed them a victory smile and showed them the dairy that she was holding. Three of them were so happy as finally their plan was a success and started celebrating. After a few minutes, they sat there talking when Gauri switched the television on and a USB device with it and got the hidden camera out of her dairy's width and connected it with television. They were happy that their plan worked but was sad as Anika had to go through all this suffering. Gauri than sent a copy of the footage to the police station and to media. They all then started talking and sighed in relief.

The next morning, it was in the headline of every news channel that Mr. Karan Sen is a fraud and is arrested for domestic violence, money laundering, and fraud against his wife and her company. Anika, Shivay, and Gauri had a contented smile on their faces. Shivay then informed that Anika will be discharged by the afternoon.

A few months passed in everyone happy in their life. Shivay and Anika realized what they had between them was not just friendship but love, so they got engaged. They decided to get married once Karan was sentenced to his punishment by the court. Karan's trial was tomorrow so, everyone was happy just then Anika's phone ringed. She decided to hide the truth in order to not get everyone disturbed. Gauri and Shivay left the house as Shivay got a call from his hospital stating there was some emergency and Gauri got a call from her client that there was some crisis and she needs her dress, so Gauri went to her boutique.
