CHAROLETTE x YAMI | Confession!

"Yo."

"Y-Y-YAMI??" Charlotte asked, stuttering from shock and embarrassment. Yami of the Black Bulls was in the same room as her, right now, she couldn't handle it. She cleared her throat and (tried) to put her tsundere mask on. "Ahem. What are you doing here, Yami?"

"Yikes, mean as always, Prickly Queen." he said, placing the fruit basket he brought on the table. "Anyways, I have something to ask you."

"I can't believe I ran out like that." Charlotte muttered. She sat on the roof of one of the houses in the Clover Kingdom, staring into the sunset. "He probably wasn't going to say that."

Earlier, Yami had came to visit her at the hospital (?) to ask her some questions, but Charlotte being Charlotte, she was a nervous wreck and ran out, screaming. "I guess it's time I tell them..." she said, on her way to the Blue Rose's headquarters.

"After I say this, I prepared to resign." Charlotte said, standing tall in front of her fellow Magic Knights. She was afraid that they might disapprove of her feelings for Yami. "Sis, what are you talking about?" Sol questioned, utterly confused. "I..."

"I like Yami!" the Blue Rose Captain shouted out, relieved that she finally got that off her chest. "No matter how many times I try not to, I'm just hopelessly in love with that man!"

The Magic Knights gasped in shock, surprised that Charlotte had made an unexpected statement. The Blue Rose Captain often expressed her dislike towards men, so of course, her fellow knights would have such a reaction.

Silence fell upon them, and then suddenly, they erupted into cheers, making Charlotte flustered and confused, since she expected them to feel disappointment. "W-What?" Charlotte asked. Some Blue Rose Knights were relieved, some of them were dating men and kept it a secret from Charlotte.

"You should ask Yami on a date!" one of the girls exclaimed, making Charlotte more flustered. "E-Ehh?!"

'Good thing Yami isn't here. He might have overheard it.'

"Huh? What's going on here?" Yami wondered. The Black Bulls Captain and an Anti-Magic kid decided to go see Charlotte at the Blue Rose headquarters, to find answers about forbidden magic.

'I guess I didn't just find answers to forbidden magic.' Yami thought.

Yami pushed Asta behind him, both hiding behind a wall. "Captain Yami, what are you doing?" Asta asked. "Just listening in their conversation." he answered, taking another puff of his cigarette. Yami didn't really eavesdrop on people, but Charlotte's supposed statement to her Magic Knights made him curious.

"...After I say this, I'm prepared to resign."

Yami frowned, confused. Resign? Charlotte wouldn't do anything like that.

"I like Yami!"

Both the Black Bulls were shocked, beyond shocked, especially Yami. 'She... likes me? I thought Prickly Queen didn't like men?'

"No matter how many times I try not to, I'm just hopelessly in love with that man!"

Yami smirked, trying to hide his flustered feelings. 'I'm hopelessly and unexpectedly in love with her too.'

"C-Captain Yami, you heard that right?!" Asta exclaimed, seemingly happy for Yami. Yami only patted Asta's head. "Make sure you don't mention that in front of her, or else I'll kill you." Yami suddenly glared at the younger male. "Y-Yessir!"

Yami and Asta walked towards Charlotte, pretending they hadn't heard her confession. "Oi, oi, what's with big crowd?" Yami asked, standing in front of Charlotte. The female's cheeks suddenly became red. "Oh, Y-Yami??"

"You know, you didn't have to run out like that earlier," Yami said. "You..."

Charlotte's heartbeat quickened, her face heating up once again. "You must really hate me, huh? My feelings are hurt, Prickly Queen."

Charlotte and the rest of the Blue Rose deadpanned, realizing how dense he was (when he really isn't.) Yami, however, only said that for fun.

"Uh, no, that's not the case... Weren't you going to ask me something earlier?"

"Oh, yeah." Yami responded. "Do you want to have dinner t-together then?" Charlotte asked, shyly. The Blue Rose knights squealed, showing how much they really ship Yami and Charlotte.

"What are you going to ask me?"

The two Magic Knights Captain went to a restaurant to talk about what Yami wanted to ask.

'Gah! What if Yami knows about my feelings?! Is his going to ask about that?!' Charlotte internally screamed.

"About your curse," Yami replied. The female slammed her head on the table, embarrassed. "Uh, are you okay?" Yami asked. Charlotte sat up, clearing her throat. "Yes, I'm fine."

Roselei explained her curse, how it started and how it affected her. "I don't know much more about it, I'm sorry. But I'm sure someone in your squad knows more about forbidden magic than me."

"Someone in my squad...?" Yami muttered. "Yes... Is that all?" Roselei questioned. The male exhaled, smoke exiting his mouth. "Yeah," he glanced at Charlotte. "Is there anything you want to tell me?" he asked. Yami wanted Charlotte to confess to him herself, rather than confronting her about it.

"Um..."

'Tell him, Charlotte, you have to! You've been in love with Yami for years, it's time you tell him!'

"Y-Yami..." Charlotte's face heated up, looking away. "Hm?"

"I-I like you!"

"Oh? I do too." the older male responded, his face staying emotionless. Charlotte stared at him, confused. "Eh? R-Really? You do know what I mean by 'I like you' right?"

Yami sighed, smoke coming out his mouth. "Of course I do, I'm not dumb. Also, I overheard you telling your squad about that," Charlotte nearly screamed, as earlier, she was glad wasn't there for her confession. "Romance isn't my thing but... I like you too, Charlotte."
