Chapter Three

Chapter Three:
[Sasuke's P.O.V]
I woke up not feeling so good. I bolted out of bed and into the bathroom. I leaned over the toilet and began emptying my stomach content. I felt a burning sensation and tears welling up in my eyes. I heard someone walking up to the bathroom and the door opening.
"Sasuke?!" It was Itachi. He came to my side and I heard him inhale a sharp breath. I had finished puking and was able to see better. I wiped my eyes and looked into the toilet. I was in shock and backed away from the toilet. Itachi flushed it and looked at me.
"Get ready. We're taking you to Tsunade-sama quickly." He says and I nod. I rush into my room and quickly change and get my shoes on. I head downstairs where Itachi is waiting for me already. We get into the car and drive to the ER. Once we get there, we rushed in and to the front lady.
"Hi, how can we help you?" She says.
"Tsunade-sama. Where is she?" Itachi asks
"Her office. Go right ahead Itachi-sama." She says hearing the concern laced into his voice. He nods and takes my hand dragging me into her office. He opened the door and there she was, working at her desk. She turns to us and looked surprised.
"Itachi-san? Sasuke-san? What are you guys doing here?" She says and Itachi has me sit down on the table.
"Look into his stomach and lungs." He says and she looks confused. She does and her face drops. Her eyes widen and she stays silent.
"Sasuke-san, you are infected." She says and I look scared.
"W-With what?" I say hoping it's not what I think it is.
"Hanahaki Disease." She says and my heart drops.
"N-No! I-It can't be!" I start to panic and breath heavily. Itachi comes next to me and tries to calm me down. I start to calm down a little bit and look at Tsunade-sama. "Please tell me it's not true."
"I'm sorry Sasuke-san, but it's true."
"O-Okay." I got off the table and walked to the bathroom. I went in and puked up more flower petals. I let it empty out even though it will do nothing. They'll just grow back. Once I finish, I cleaned myself up. I pulled out some gum and stuck it in my mouth. I came out and Itachi was there waiting for me. I walked over to him and grabbed a mask while we walked out. I placed it over my mouth using the strings to wrap around my ears to hold the mask in place over my mouth. We got to the car and when we got in, I tugged on his sleeve. He turned to me giving me his full attention.
"Take me to school." I say and he gives me widen eyes.
"Are you sure?" He asks with some concern in his voice and I nod. He sighed and started the car. He drove home first to get my stuff then we head to the school. I walk into the school and to the office with the mask still on. I get my pass and look at what period we are in. Third period, that means class with Naruto. I walk to the door and knock on the door. The door soon opened and I walked in. I walked to Kakashi Sensei and handed him the pass. He whispered to me to meet him after class and I nodded. I walked up to my seat which was in between to Sakura-san and Neji-san. I sat in between them and they both passed me a note asking what was wrong. All I wrote was "HD" and they understood. They knew the drill to this and sadly, it will begin sooner than I expected.

I went to the library and sadly, they didn't have anything for me to work on. I simply checked out a book and walked right out. I was walking to the loft and just as I turned the corner, I bumped into someone. I fell onto my back and groaned a bit. I heard someone groan to and we sat up at the same time. Naruto. I stayed silent and tried to get up quietly and quickly.
"Hey dude. I'm sor- oh." He began but cut himself off when he saw me. I stopped walking and turned around. His eyes widen at the sight of my mask and came over to me. "What's with-"
"Leave me alone! I hate you!" I shout and run down the stairs.
"Sasuke! Hey wait! Let me explain myself! Please!" He shouts back and runs after me. I kept running down the halls and out through the back doors. I heard the door shut and open again. I kept running until I had to stop. I moved my mask and started to cough up flower petals. I heard footsteps coming up behind me and I didn't want to look up. I wiped my mouth and sighed.
"Flower petals?!" I hear him shout and I sniffle as I cry. I wiped them away and looked back up. "What's with the petals?"
"Nothing. Just pretend you didn't see anything." I say walking away. He grabbed my hand and pulled me back to him.
"How can I pretend that I didn't see anything! You just puked up flower petals!" He shouts and I push him away and he falls to the ground.
"It's none of your concern! Just leave me alone!" I shout back and I run towards to the school. I run back in and when I'm inside, the bell rang and kids were flooding out of the door. The school day is over and I stood in the cafeteria waiting for Sakura-san and Neji-san. They found me and began walking over to me. Once we all were together, we began walking to my house and Naruto was outside leaning against the wall. I felt his stare burning into me and I tried to ignore it. Even though we were a long ways away from the school, I still felt his stare which meant one thing. He was "following" me. His house is on the way to mine but I know he was waiting for Neji and Sakura to leave. They parted their way from me and I walked home by myself with Naruto behind me. I picked up my pace and so did he. Before I turned to go on the street I live on, he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.
"Sasuke. What is the matter with you?" He says looking concerned. He's faking it. I know he is. I push him away and turned around so he couldn't see me cry.
"It doesn't matter to you! Leave me-" I begin and fall to my knees. I feel the flowers coming up and I try to hold it back but it doesn't work. I began puking up flower petals and I couldn't stop. I tried so hard but it kept coming out. I felt Naruto's hand on my back and I heard him calling someone.
"Itachi, it's Naruto..Sasuke is um, he's puking up flower petals..okay, I'll stay by him..not too far from your house..okay. Bye." He says and stays by my side. I push him away but he kept coming back to the same position. I heard footsteps and I look up to see Itachi. I try to get up and walk over to Itachi but I fall. He catches me and I stop puking. I began coughing a little bit and hug Itachi tightly. He hugs back and we begin walking leaving Naruto stunned at what just happened.

I fluttered my eyes open and sat up slowly. I looked around and noticed I was in my room. I got up and walked out of my room. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Itachi was there drinking coffee and he looked up.
"How are you feeling?" He asks softly and walks up to me. I hated that. He makes me feel like I'm helpless but I'm not. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"I'm just fine. I'm not a helpless animal you know." I say and push his hand away from me. He chuckles softly and sighs.
"I know but I'm just worried for you. Who is it that you're in love with that doesn't love you back?" He asks and I turns pink.
"Um..it's Naruto." I mumble and look away. He stays silent for a minute and doesn't say or do anything.
"I knew you had a thing for blondes." My eyes widen and I turned more red. I turned my head to him and pouted.
"Wait, you don't care?" I ask.
"Of course not. Why should I?"
"You don't hate me?"
"Am I supposed to? Sasuke, I don't care that you love a boy. As long as you're happy, then I don't care. But since he doesn't love you back, we will try and get him to and if it doesn't work, then you're gonna be "homeschooled". I'll get your teacher to just say you are when you can watch the videos and I'll go turn your homework in for you. Okay?" He explains and I nod. The rest of the night was just us watching movies and me continuing to puke and cough up flower petals.
