Xiao Ke’s question was too direct. He had been wooing the other for a long time, but had never actually asked anything about his dating history. If this were normally, he wouldn’t ever ask; but the truth was, listening to Zhou Zui talk about his past experiences was a bit addicting. As soon as the thought came to mind, it escaped his mouth.

There was nothing to it. It was just a question. Xiao Ke was pretty calm. He turned his head to look at Zhou Zui.

Zhou Zui didn’t say anything at first. Xiao Ke kept staring at him, so not replying seemed a bit rude. Thus, Zhou Zui nodded and said, “I have.”

Only two words, nothing more. Xiao Ke didn’t continue asking.

Zhou Zui didn’t want to dwell on this topic, he could tell. It was fine that he didn’t. He wasn’t adamant about interrogating the other. This part of Xiao Ke’s personality was commendable. He usually never made people uncomfortable and was a person easy to interact with. This probably had something to do with his career and upbringing. People in those environments typically were mannerly and polite.

But he would occasionally be deliberate too. These traits could coexist.

There was a sign up ahead, stating that a rest area was located up front. Xiao Ke said, “Let’s go to the bathroom. Then I’ll drive.”

Zhou Zui merged to the right and drove into the rest area.

After getting out of the car, Xiao Ke stretched his arms. He didn’t actually need to use the bathroom, so only went in there for a perfunctory bit. They had been driving and chatting for a little over two hours; he just wanted to switch with Zhou Zui so the other could take a break.

When they got back into the cars, the two changed spots. After putting on his seatbelt, Xiao Ke chuckled, “I really have never driven such an expensive car before.”

Zhou Zui only smiled, but didn’t say anything.

Xiao Ke added, “I’m pretty good at driving. You can take a nap.”

Zhou Zui adjusted his seat so that it leaned further back. He put his jacket over his body and replied, “I’m scared you’ll get bored.”

“I won’t.” Xiao Ke smiled. “You got up pretty early. Even if you don’t sleep, you should at least close your eyes and take a break.”

Afterwards, Xiao Ke stopped talking. A while later, he glanced over and saw that Zhou Zui was really leaning against his seat, eyes closed. It seemed like he had fallen asleep. Xiao Ke was still driving so couldn’t afford any extra peeks. He only scanned that direction a few times and sighed about how attractive this “old man” looked. The lines of his face were hard, and he was extremely attractive even with his eyes shut.

How could he be exactly my type.

Actually, Xiao Ke’s type had always been the same, but the boyfriends he had had before were never in that category. This included the one he had been most serious about, Lin An.

Lin An was someone with a gentle personality. He didn’t really have a temper and always wanted to reason things out when he encountered problems. He didn’t like getting angry. One’s appearance was a reflection of their temperament, so his appearance had been one that made people feel comfortable. The lines of his face were always soft. Xiao Ke was younger than him and was also more direct about his feelings than him. From the beginning to the end of their relationship, it had always been him walking in the front, pulling Lin An along. He had always been the one taking the initiative to maintain their romance.
