Chapter 4

Your POV

You were in Paul's car going to eat dinner. I was sitting in the back while Jen was in front of me in the passenger seat and Paul was driving. We went to Olive Garden and sat down in a corner booth. "How old are you?" Jen asked in a very polite and kind tone. "I'm 15, uh my birthday is June 11th," I said. "Oh really?" Jen stated as she looked at Paul. I was a little confused at first but then I connected the dots. "That is my birthday as well," Paul exclaimed. Then we laughed it off and started talking about random things.

We got our food and thanked the waiter then started talking again. "After lunch do you want to go get some things for your room and some clothes?" Paul asked. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," I said then drinking some water. "Honestly guys I can't thank you enough on how happy I am on you guys taking me in, I really appreciate it," I stated. " It is no problem, I'd rather do that then have you stuck out on the streets or something." Paul said, "Yeah it is no biggy." Jen finished.

We finished our food and paid for it. We are in the car and it was the same place as last time. "Do we want to go to Ikea and get a dresser and bed frame and bed?" Paul asked. "Yeah, that sounds good," I said. Then we headed off towards Ikea.

We walked in and got a bed frame and mattress. We had a blast and made a bunch of funny jokes. We were checking out and Paul started talking, "Do you want to go get some bed sheets at Walmart?" "Yeah that sounds like a great idea, let's go on an adventure! I yelled. Paul and Jen laughed and we headed out the door.

"Y'all ready?" Jen asked both of us. "Yep," Paul answered. I nodded and continued to get out of the car. I'm we walked in to the store and headed for where the bed sets would be. After looking for awhile I finally found a set that I liked, it was pink and faded into teal. "Now we're are we going?" Jen asked. "I think we should head home, show Char the place and set the bed up." Paul said. "Oh yeah, we did not show you the house yet." Jen said gesturing towards me. After that we got in the car and headed to where my new home will be.
