A Road Is Just A Dream That Has No End

Chapter Six

Kyungsoo duck down while being pulled by Chanyeol. He feels like they're in a secret mission and could get caught anytime now, which is partially true. He never imagine himself escaping away from the hospital and here he is, making his way out illegally with the help of the doctor himself.

"Chanyeol, are you sure we're okay to do this?" Kyungsoo whisper anxiously when he see one of the nurse is looking at them suspiciously.

"We're not allowed to do this and you know that, Soo. But what's life without breaking the rules?" Chanyeol says with an excited laugh.

Kyungsoo frown, "You're the freaking doctor, Chanyeol. Aren't you scared you'll get suspended on your training or something?"

Chanyeol shrug, "Well I can be everything in life. Not just being a doctor." He looks over his shoulder to properly watch Kyungsoo who by now, struggling to breath a little. He has his mask on and a beanie to cover his head.

Kyungsoo halt suddenly making Chanyeol stop abruptly along, "Like what, Chanyeol?"

Chanyeol smile, "A producer, and maybe you could become my singer. Like we've promised." Kyungsoo can't help but to smile with the memories all suddenly came crashing to him.

Years before while they're in high school, 16 years old Kyungsoo and Chanyeol had been so passionate with music. They decided to pursue a career when they're older. Until everything happened, and they ended up forgetting those dreams.

"You know I can't never, Chanyeol. But you have to, maybe not a full time-"

"Dr. Park? Have you seen patient Do Kyungsoo-" A nurse suddenly walks to them and Chanyeol goes panic run while pulling Kyungsoo along. The nurse calls out for them but her voice grows distant as they head to the emergency stairs.

Chanyeol finally let go of Kyungsoo's warm hand when they reach the lobby. He grabs his car key on his back pocket since he decided to bring his car today because there's no way he will let Kyungsoo walks outside.

"Where are we going anyway?" Kyungsoo ask as they walk to the parking. Chanyeol press the car button and his Mercedes Benz G65 lights unlock. Kyungsoo stand before the ride in awe, "Nice car."

"My dad gave me as a present." Chanyeol grins, feeling proud that he could amaze him. "Also, I'm not going to answer your question. Like I said, it's a surprise."

Chanyeol makes his way to the passenger seat and open the door for Kyungsoo, "After you." That earns a glare from the said guy. He scowl at Chanyeol slightly but gets inside the car anyway.

"You don't have to do that. I'm not weak, that's just a door."

"I know, Soo. I just wanted to do it for you. You know, as someone special to me." He winks before slamming the door close. He runs back to the driver seat, buckling himself up. "Want me to help you with the seatbelt too?"

Kyungsoo's glare is an obvious answer so Chanyeol decided to just mind his own business.

"Ready for an adventure, Soo?" Chanyeol ask as he's ready to go, one hand on the steering wheel while one on the gear stick. He turns his head to the said guy, watching at how he looks so confused.

"What adventure?" Kyungsoo questions back and Chanyeol reply with only a chuckle, finally starting to drive the car away.

The night is cold and dark when they arrived at an isolated park. Kyungsoo gets out from the car before Chanyeol could even assist him like before. He knows Chanyeol meant good but he made it clear that he won't be needing someone to open the door for him.
