Chapter Seven- The Gem of Darkness

 They appeared in Nexus, but they were horrified of what had happened. The whole village was on flames, and every memory of it shattered into tiny pieces. "NO!" shouted Steve as he just sat there on the road of the village. Two familiar men rushed towards the group. "Steve, Alex, Oxin, and Hazel? You are back!?" asked Bandor. "I can't believe you survived!" exclaimed Alex. "Hey, do you guys know where Leo is?" asked Steve, "Um, we saw him getting dragged away by Goliath. We were going to case after them!" exclaimed Erick. "Oh no! We got to move!" exclaimed Steve. They followed to lines that must've come from Leo when he was getting dragged. They ran in that direction. "Hey.. *huff* this is *puff* more exercise... I had *huff8 all year, exclaimed Bandor as he took a breath," please wait." They waited for a little, and then they run a bit more. Nightfall began as they kept running into the creepy woods. All kinds of danger awoken into the night, but that factor didn't stop Steve from finding his little brother that he loved deary. There was no telling what Goliath was going to do with him.

 As Steve ran, he notices a very dark land with 10 huge mountains made with pure darkness. "I think this is where the next Gem is!" exclaimed Steve. They saw a very fragile bridge leading across a very big black obsidian ridge. "How are we going to cross this? it will fall once we touch it with our feet!" exclaimed Steve. "There is away. I see Goliath in the distance dragging Leo from behind!" exclaimed Alex. "Maybe there is a solid part of this bridge but we need to figure it out! Like a riddle," exclaimed Bandor. There were runes on the bridge. "It is the galactic alphabet, but Leo knows how to read it, that's how they got across," exclaimed Hazel. Steve used his gauntlet to see if he can translate the runes into regular words. It worked, and it said, Two may only step, but if anyone else will have death. "Only two can go... I think Steve and Alex," replied Hazel. "Ok. I prosome we will be ok," exclaimed Steve. They crossed the bridge, and then they climbed up the obsidian mountains.

 They saw Goliath and Leo climbing the tallest pinnacle. "I have a dark feeling of what will happen, but I will not let it happen!' exclaimed Steve as they climbed up the pinnacle. Goliath reached the top stopping at a structure. A wither skeleton told him what to do to get this Gem. He said The Darkness Gem demains this: give back to nature the life you took," the skeleton exclaimed. "Pecky human what those that mean?" asked Goliath to Leo. "Um, it means to give a sacrifice," exclaimed Leo. "A sack of rice? That's all I need?" asked Goliath. "No! I said a sacrifice!" exclaimed Leo. Steve stood on top of the pinnacle with his gauntlet in his hand. Alex stood on top too. "Let Leo go!" shouted Steve. Goliath looked at Steve for 2 seconds and then smiled. He grabbed Leo's arm. "Let go! Let go!" shouted Leo as Goliath dragged closer to the edge of the cliff. "No!" shouted Steve as he ran towards him. Goliath swung him off the cliff. Leo's faint scream slowly got quieter as he came closer to the ground. "Leo," said Steve in a said tone as he saw him disappear into the shadows. Tears shed from his face. Goliath patted Steve on his head. "There is no time to mourn, steve," he whispered in Steve's hearing. Lightning struck down from the sky, and on top of a nearby statue, the Gem appeared on its hands. Steve turned his head towards Goliath as he walked closer to the statue. "NO!" shouted Steve as he leaped onto Goliath. Goliath punched Steve out of the way.

 He flew hanging onto the edge. The Darkness Gem was now in Goliath's grasps. Alex tried to take it, but Goliath shrugged her off of him. He placed the Gem into the Caster's gauntlet he had on his hand. Darkness engulfed around him, as he laughed. "You are not getting away with this!" shouted Steve as he pulled out the Gem of Fury. Steve summoned fire out of it, burning Goliath. Goliath shot a purple energy blast out of his gauntlet, hurting Steve. Steve turned the rocks that Goliath was lifting at him into the water from the Gem of Calmness. Goliath turned himself into a giant Enderman. "Steve! Watch out!" shouted Alex as Goliath's arms slammed the ground. Alex knew what she had to do. She ran towards the edge."Goodbye, Steve!" said Alex as she jumping off the edge into the Darkness. "NO!" shouted Steve. The lightning strikes Goliath, damaging him, and the Gem appeared on the statue again. Steve grabbed it and climbed down. Goliath chased him, shooting lasers at him. Steve turned them into the r, and shot fire out of his mouth. Steve ran across the bridge. "Where's Alex?" asked Bandor. "And Leo,' exclaimed Hazel. "Goliath killed Leo to get the Gem of Darkness, and Alex jumped off to let me get it. We need to find the last Gem now! Goliath is getting very powerful!" shouted Steve.

 Goliath broke the bridge with black tentacles. Steve formed a lava blade from the Gem of Fury, slicing Goliath's Ender arms. Goliath screamed, and shot purple toxic cubes at them from the sky. "Take cover!" shouted Bandor. Steve made a force field out of his darkness, created out of rocks. They ran into the woods, away from Goliath. Goliath summoned a 4 headed ender dragon. "Oh my goodness! What kind of monstrosity is that!?" shouted Erick. "No kidding!" replied Oxin. The dragon shot purple flames, burning whatever it touches. "I got the note for the next Gem! But we need to go somewhere safe!' exclaimed Steve. Then they hid in a cave. "Ok. It says, At the home of the Gaunlet Guardians, you will find a fountain. You must toss everything you worked hard for into it. For the last shall be first and the first shall be last in the eyes of the Elder Gaunlet guardians," read Steve. "I miss Alex and Leo," replied Hazel. "Me too. We have to stop Goliath once and for all! We will avenge Alex and Leo," exclaimed Steve. "The Gauntlet guardian fortress is in the Farlands so we have a long journey ahead of us," replied Steve. 

They traveled through the Vast Desert, The Magical Mesa, and the Village Savana, and reached the Farlands again.

                                                                       Alex and Leo will be missed.
