Good To Know

In the morning everyone got up and went home. I woke up Keats so he could say bye. We walked in and his mom was home.

"Mom this is Mallorie, my girlfriend and Drew's daughter."

"Nice to meet you but I didn't know Drew had a daughter..."

"Well legally I'm his...It was either going to be him or Wesley but he's older so he decided to do it..."

"Well it's nice to know That my son was potentially gonna have a daughter"

"Oh I hope I didn't let out some kind of secret...I'm sorry"

"Don't worry honey I'm just playing.."

"Okay whew"

"Hey babe should we get going...." Wow I forgot Keats was there...oops

"Where you goin'" his mom asked

"Well we were gonna get some more sleep it was a late night and we got up early"

"And where is Mallorie sleeping?" Shit this is awkward

"Well Um mmmm my room" Keats mumbled

"Where did you say?" Here we go

"My room mom she's sleeping in my room"

"You know the rules Keat I can't let that happen"

"Mooom really are we gonna do this"

"Yes we are...you know the history of why there is that rule, she is more than welcome to stay but she will not be sleeping in your room with you. She can have the couch or the basement couch or...."

"She can bunk with me" Brooke piped in her and Keats exchanged a look and he nudged me

"Thank you so much Brooke I would love to if you don't mind"

"That's perfect and then you can explain why there is that rule" his mom said

Brooke and I went to her room with my bags.

"So what was the look you and K exchanged?"

"Your going to stay in here until my moms asleep and then you can go back to Keats room"

"How? Won't she hear?"

"We have this secret that not even Wes knows about" she walked to her closet and pushed her clothes to the side revealing a little door. She opened it I saw it went straight to Keats closet.

"wow"

"Yeah that's how Troy always got in"

"Who's Troy?"

"He's part of the reason for the rule..my ex boyfriend who always snuck in and we may have you know slept together a few times and then my mom found out about him so Keat always let him in through his balcony and the closet for me....that's why I owe him and the other part was Wes's doing"

"how so??"

"Him and Drew used to have a different girl every week...they had sex and moved on...one morning my mom was talking to the neighbor and she said she saw someone leaving but my mom didn't know weather or not to believe her so she put that rule in place"

"Okay so I understand the rule now and thanks for helping me out there"

"Anything...You're already like a sister to me"

"Thanks....so what now??"

"Tell me your story"

And so I did...it was getting easier and easier to tell people now.

"Okay so how about those test? were you happy with the results?? honestly?"

"I wasn't ready for a baby so yes but no at the same time. I thought if I was then I would have a stronger tie to Keaton. It would have given me more comfort in feeling like he wouldn't leave me."

"That boy won't leave you ever...he's crazy about you I can see it in his looks and actions. how he talks about you and to you and comforts you. There is no chance he would ever leave you"

"Thanks...Can I sleep a little I think Keat and I have a date tonight"

"Yeah here or there?"

"There...chose there" we heard a voice from the closet...Oh my little boy

"I take it he wants me there..."

"Pretty much the purpose of
this" the closet talked again. I crawled through and he picked me up hugging me.

"Baby or no baby I would never leave you, you have my word" he said handing me an infinity ring showing me one on his hand that had the same symbol in it.

"I love you so much babe" I whispered

"I love you to...do you know what I realized?"

"What?"

"We had sex before we had a date" he chuckled

"What can I say true love" I added after a small gasp

"I would do it again right now if my mom wasn't here"

"And the boys and Brooke...but she's heard it before so mostly the boys"

"Doesn't mean I want to hear it again...that was hella awkward listening to y'all's moans and groans and screams and giggles in here"

"Where the hell did you come from?" I asked in shock.

"Well I wanted to get the whole promise thing on video so I hid in the closet."

I looked at Keats "Remind me to check the closets before we do it next time" he said

"How do you know there will be a next time?" I teased

"Because I can't stay away from you for much longer sweets"

"I could say the same myself"

Brooke laughed really hard and stopped recording...shit she was still recording....shit she was still there...

I walked down stairs at dinner before our date that night only to find Wes and Drew watching the video on Brooke's phone. When we walked in they just looked at us and gagged. Loraine walked in a moment later asking why they were gagging. Brooke showed her an edited version where it only showed the ring part.

"My little mans growing up" she sniffed and messed with Keats hair

"Hey so mom We have a date after dinner what time do I have to be home?"

"Ask her father" Loraine said causing Drew to spit out his water

"1 am and how'd you know?"

"Someone spilled the beans" Keat pointed at me

"And that's what this dinner is for...I wanna hear the whole story and I'm assuming everyone else already knows it"

"You assumed correctly" Brooke said

So we told her the Story, at the end she was crying and we hugged. She told the boys how proud she was of them for doing the right thing on their own.
