Funeral

3 months later

So it has been three months since the tour. I had so much fun with Austin, Fifth Harmony, The Vamps, and obviously Shawn. I've been working on a song these past few weeks. I'm really close to finishing up recording it, then I can announce my first song to all my fans and post it on YouTube. I know I'm not signed yet, but it's good to get a head start for when I do get signed... or if I do. Shawn and I have texted back and forth every single day ever since the tour has ended, and we try to video chat at least once every week. He's been very busy, he's releasing a new album in a few months!

I was in my room watching some YouTube videos. That's what I do almost every Sunday, sit in my room all day and watch videos.

"Violet." My mom yelled from downstairs.

I paused the video and walked out into the hallway.

"What." I said.

She was crying, I quickly became very nervous.

"Mom what's wrong!?" I said worried.

"Your grandfather, he passed away." She said.

I just stared at her as I felt my eyes tearing up.

"What. No. How. When!?" Questions were running through my head wondering why it had to be him. He was such a great guy. He doesn't deserve this!

"He had a heart attack last night, Vi." She said wiping her eyes.

I ran downstairs and hugged her while crying.

My grandfather was my mom's dad. They were very close, but I wasn't very close to him because he lives in Canada. The last time I saw him was 4 months ago, when we were in Quebec visiting them. I really wish I got to see him to say goodbye.

"His funeral is next weekend in Canada, are you going to go?" My mom asked.

"Of course!" I said.

I hugged her again and walked back upstairs. I took out my phone and texted Shawn.

"Shawn, I need to talk to you. L"

"What's going on Vi?

"My grandfather, he passed away last night."

"Oh my god! Violet I'm so sorry!"

"I don't know what to do right now."

"If I could fly right to your house right now I would."

"I know you would."

"When's the funeral?"

"Next weekend in Canada."

"Where in Canada?"

"Probably Quebec."

"Oh, well you should stop at my house."

"Oh my gosh I didn't even think of that! I should!"

"Will you?"

"Um I'm not sure, Quebec is like 6 hours away from here and Toronto is another 8 hours from Quebec."

"Oh ya, maybe we can meet halfway?"

"We'll see Shawn."

"Ok, I love you so much Violet and I'm here if you need to talk to someone ok?"

"I know, I love you too."

I continued watching YouTube videos to try and get this off of my mind.
