I'm so sorry this update took so long, the last time I updated was during my holidays and school started up not long after. I've been so busy with school work, especially since I'm a Senior my work is just usgshsh so stressful and school has been eating up all of my time, but I'm finding the time to write again. I have so much ideas for the story line of this book and I promise I'm going to complete it. Thank you so much for being patient with me and this book ♡

Recap

"So I was thinking about asking you something" Billy questions me. I feel my heart start to pound at the possibilities of what his question could be about. Maybe my escapade with Steve was the last straw and he finally realized he liked me too much to just let me run around with him. He would finally ask me out on a date, one that neither of us saw as a friendly outting. A date that was personal and intimate, one that allowed us to share a new type of connection. It seemed like a far out idea but was definitely a possibility, at least in my mind.

It's stupid of me to hold my breath as I nod, waiting for him to continue. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my fingers crossed, hoping he'd say the words I'd so desperately wanted to hear. This could either be the moment he declares his love for me, or I leave still comfortable in the friendzone. I hated how much I was overthinking this, he's just asking me a question. It could literally be about anything, yet I still have hope as he opens his mouth.

"Will you help me break up with Cheryl?"

I bite the inside of my cheek, my fingers thrumming against my jean clad thigh as my eyes observe the people in the living room. Yet again, I find myself at a house party I didn't want to be at. I could be at home in bed reading a book or watching a movie with my mum. Hargrove dragged me here, insisting that his stupid break up plan with Cheryl was going to run smoothly and that I wouldn't be here long. Half an hour has passed and already I've been bumped into by drunk jocks, had someone tip their drink on my shirt and I've lost Billy.

This plan was a terrible idea to say the least, but I'm being a good friend to Billy. Neither Steve or Leigh are at this party, which means my only ride home is with Billy, this leaves me no choice but to stay and execute his plan. After a couple crash down on the couch next to mine, I inhale sharply before pushing off of the seat, leaving the room to find Billy. I push through crowds of people and try to block out the sound of the loud music blasting from the speakers.

Billy left a bee line that led to the table of alcohol outside, Tommy is by his side, the both of them laughing, tipping their drinks as they do. I huff as I push my hands into the pockets of my hoodie and approach them.

"I wanna leave, when is she showing up?" I ask Billy, a smile is still apparent on his face as he answers.

"She'll be here soon, just wait"

"I've been waiting Billy, I have a million other things I could be doing right now" I state, annoyance clear in my tone. Billy exhales heavily, running a hand through his golden locks as he shrugs.

"Well you aren't doing them, just hold on-- she'll be here soon"

I roll my eyes before sighing out a fine and turning on my heel to leave. Seeing as I had no other friends here, I decided to find a corner in the backyard to sit in until Cheryl showed up. Sipping from my plastic cup, I resorted to kicking rocks around with the tip of my shoes. I looked like a loser, I wasn't going to deny that but I was invisible to everyone around me. People would walk past, either too drunk or oblivious to notice me drinking alone. I liked it.
