Flowers.

She blinked and opened her eyes, stretching hard.

The mattress dipped.

"You're finally up?" She gave her a quick peck.

Mint.

She smiled sleepily. "Why are you all clean and nice so early in the morning?"

"Just because you're lazy doesn't mean I have to be."

The bed shook.

"Where are you going?"

"To get dressed."

"Why? We don't have anything to do today. Why can't we just stay in bed the whole day?"

She laughed. "I was thinking that we could go out. Take a walk? Go to the market or drive somewhere? It's a beautiful spring day."

She groaned and buried her face in the pillow.

Lavender. The subtle fragrance of the fabric softener.

"Come on, Taetae." A tug on her hand. "Don't be such a lazy ahjumma."

She pulled the hand instead. "No."

She fell onto the mattress, giggling. "Taetae..." She felt kisses on the side of her face. Chanel. She breathed in deeply as the other woman climbed on top of her. And morning breath. She chuckled. "Taetae... at least brush your teeth first."

She dragged her lips down to her neck, the flowery scent filling her mind.

"Thanks," she looked up at the assistant.

The young woman smiled and left the room.

She breathed in the smell of coffee and fresh pastry and her heart pained at the thought of the person across the ocean.

She picked up her phone and typed.

"What are you doing?"

"Wow. Talk about awesome timing. I was just about to text you."

She smiled. "Why?"

"I'm accompanying the director's wife shopping. At Chanel."

She smiled again. "Ah."

"What are you doing?"

"About to have breakfast."

"Coffee and pastry?"

"Yeah. I miss you."

"I miss you too. I'll be back tomorrow."

"I know. Can't wait. I'll pick you up at the airport."

"Don't. I'll be arriving super early."

"Then I'll wake up super early."

"Thank you."

"No problem at all."

"I have to go. I'll call you later. Love you."

"I love you too."
