"I..." She hesitated. "I know that I don't want to lose you." She looked into those glistening eyes again. "I can't lose you."

She took a step forward and gently brushed her cheek. "I don't want to lose you either. But I need you to trust me. I trust you, you know."

"Thanks." She paused. "Is it too much to ask to take it a few steps back? Take it slow? Let me learn to build my trust?"

"You're not leaving me, are you?"

She shook her head. "No, but I don't think I can handle the whole idea of marriage right now."

She said nothing. "Taetae?"

A smile. "It feels so good to hear you call me that again." She returned the smile. "I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing." She reached out and held the cheek again. She hesitated before she took a chance and leaned forward.

A pair of warm soft lips met hers and she sighed. "Take as much time as you need. I'm not going anywhere."

"Thank you."

"Just please don't leave me?" "I won't. I promise."
