Olivia's POV

We walk over to the line at the movie theater and I grab my wallet pulling out a ten dollar bill. As everyone else pulls out their money, I grab my phone to see if anyone texted me. (particularly Calum)

Nothing.

I felt my heart sink. We haven't talked much, other than him introducing himself in the cafeteria and our long conversation that one night. Just small talk. But I wanted it to be more than small talk.

God, I sound desperate.

"So who do you think is going to scream the loudest?" Faith asks everyone, referring to the movie we are going to see. Ouija.

"Definitely Olivia. She gets scared while watching every scary movie," says Sarah.

"No I don't! I never got scared while watching that 'House of the Dead' one."

"Yeah, because that is the stupidest scary movie that exists. Now can we get our tickets please," says Rachel.

We all get back in line and get our tickets. I'm the last one to get my ticket and everyone else went inside to get their food and as I walk over to the booth I see a familiar face on the opposite side of the glass.

"Well hello Miss Olivia. I thought those were your friends walking in," says Calum as he lays his elbows on the table. I feel my stomach get butterflies and try to act normal (which never works)

"Hello Mr. Calum. I never knew you worked at the movie theater," I say looking at him in his red shinny vest and navy blue kakis.

"Well baby-sitting was a pain in the ass and this paid more so here I am in the most ridiculous uniform I've ever seen." I give him a smile forgetting that was here to go see a movie with my friends.

"Excuse me, can we please get our tickets now," says an older lady standing behind me.

"I'm so sorry mam, in just a moment," say Calum politely. I turn back around and we both laugh.

"So, what movie would you like to see?" he asks.

"I would like one ticket for Ouija."

"Oh are you sure you won't get scared? Maybe I should come and watch it with you just in case," he says punching in the numbers on the cash register. "I won't get scared. But I could certainly see you screaming your head off watching it," I say confidently.

He doesn't reply and just smiles at the ground. I laugh knowing that I'm right. "That will be $8.59," he says changing the subject.

I slide my money through the slot as he hands me the ticket. As I walk away I here Calum say, "I certainly hope you enjoy your movie. And if you do get scared, which I know you will, I'll be here," he says winking at me and showing that famous smile that I know and love.

I quickly turn around trying to hide that I'm blushing and rush into the theater getting a small bag of popcorn and a water. I run into the theater and find Faith, Delaney, Sarah, Rachel and Caroline all sitting in the front row (of course) with an extra seat for me.

I see that the commercials are still going and slowly sit in my seat trying to act like I was there the whole time but fail.

"So did Prince Charming sweep you off your feet and give you a discount?" Rachel says with a smirk. I just give her a look as the movie begins to start and I devour my popcorn.

Hi!
So if you haven't noticed I suck at updating on time so I'm really sorry it took so long.

I'm over 50 reads yayyyy! Thank you all so much. It would mean a lot if you shared and commented feedback (and voted 😏😏)

Also I added a new character to Olivia's groups of friends and her names Caroline (she's pretty cool 😝)

Anyways I hope you liked the chapter, and I love you all.
