THE ESCAPE
"Hey, Riley." I said as I closed the door to our room behind me. Great now to spend a whole night with him.
"Hey." he said from his bed, or was it my bed? Oh no, one bed? This couldn't be good.
"Uh, is this the only bed here?" I asked desperate not to sleep in the same bed with him.
"Yep and it's mine, but I'm sure it would fit one more person."
I guess it will have to do, I thought. Rather to share a bed than lay on the cold stone ground alone.

Riley seemed so warm with his bare skin up against my body that the sun seeping in through the window wasn't bothering me yet. Even the fact that I hadn't finished the dress yet didn't bother me. I just wanted Riley to stay in that same position forever as I drifted off in another deep sleep that never ended. I decided that this idea would never go to plan as I heard that familiar screeching TARDIS sound, come rushing through the room and Riley and I opened our eyes to see that familiar blue box materialise in front of us.
Riley rolled over and I watched as his eyes lit up in wonder. Oh yeah that's right, he's never seen a phone box before. Unlike me who had known phone box's had been around on earth for years.
"Wha..." he said in awe.
"Just come on." I said in a rush to see the Doctor's face again.
I stood up to open the TARDIS door. Then I walked in with Riley following my every step. The Doctor didn't seem to see me and there was another girl in the TARDIS. How dare he? I thought.
I raced over to the Doctor to confront him when I fell into a spiral of orange swirl. Riley grabbed my hand and tried desperately to pull me up, he managed to, but in the process I landed on top of him and as I looked into his eyes, I edged my mouth closer to his as we kissed.
In that second, I woke up abruptly to see Riley still laying in bed with me. I was sweating all over and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and started on the dress and gathered the bits and pieces for Riley to make the jewellery.
I couldn't believe the dream I'd had. I mean, I wish the Doctor would come soon, but I couldn't leave Riley. I just couldn't stay here any longer without the Doctor.
I thought about whether Riley really would have saved me in my dream or whether it was just me and my thoughts. I finished sewing the dress and still Riley was laying around doing nothing. I decided to go wake him, just to be nice.
I went over and carefully placed my head close to his face and whispered, "Wake up Riley."
He woke up with a startled look on his face and leant over to kiss me but I moved just in time for him to fall on the floor next to me, face first in a sprawled mess. I stifled a giggle and helped him to his feet.
As he got to work I decided that I had to tell someone about my dream so I went ahead and watched as his facial expressions changed. When I had finished my recount, his mouth was curved in a shape that represented a full moon.
"You look surprised?" I asked.
"Yes, the kiss sounded good. Hey, do you like me?" he queried.
I just proceeded to get my clothes prepared to have my little cold shower before delivering the made goods. I honestly didn't know. Did I? Was this a sign that I did?
"Hey where you going?" he asked.
"Showering..." I said as I continued to ask myself rhetorical questions in my head about the dream.

When I came back, Riley was standing beside the bed with the dress and the jewellery in hand with a grin that stretched from one cheek to the other.
"You look happy." I stated.
"Would you care to join me to deliver these....materials?" He asked as he stretched out his hand as in asking me to hold it.
I wanted to say yes and grab that inviting hand, but instead I answered with, "No thanks. You go."
"Great, but before that I'd like to just say that there is a man waiting for you in the other room with a big blue box." His grin did not fade as he said this and as he watched my face grow in surprise as well. I raced into the other room to see that familiar box standing tall and haunting in the small room.
It couldn't be true but it was. The blue inviting door opened slowly and out stepped the man in the raggedy outfit and the bow tie that I recognised straight away. His grin stretched from one cheek to the other and so was mine. I was overcome with happiness to see that face again.
I just wanted to get out of this place. I walked straight up to him and asked, "So where have you been then?"
He answered with, "Oh, you know flying around..."
I looked at him with my face that means 'where have you been, like seriously.'
"I've been trying to figure out where you were, it was just taking a while... or I may have been visiting River." That end part was said under his breath.
"Excuse you!" I replied in suprise.
"I.."
"It doesn't matter, Doctor. All that's important is that you are here now. So... are we gonna leave?" I asked eager to continue my journey with him.
"Don't you want to wait for your friend to come back?"
"I-"
"I would love to come with you!" Riley butted in.
"Sure you can come!" the Doctor said, maybe a little too excitedly.
"Okay then, let's go then." I said.
