The Demon Within

Chapter 2

Same day just earlier.

Jessica POV.

I woke up today thinking I was going to be doing the same thing I do in all Saturdays. Until i hear my phone ring and see it's from  my father, which was weird, we don't talk very much.
Of course I pick up.

"Hello?"

"Jessica you need to be ready later today, so pack your stuff. You will be coming to a mansion with me for a while. A man will come and pick you up." And with that he hangs up. Why not just text me then?

So I pack some bags full of clothes, I don't know how long I'll be gone so I pack close for a week, and some extra. Then once I'm done I call Zoey. A little girl that usually comes and takes care of my house when I go away.

"Hey Zoey come in."
"Sure Auntie!" She says. The kids here call me Auntie, mostly because they don't like calling an adult by there first name, and I don't like miss Jackson.

"So I'm going to be gone for a while."
"When will you be back?"
"I don't know yet, I'll call you if it's more that a week."
"Okay!"

After I was done showing Zoey what to do for the hundredth time, I go away a lot. I hear a knock on the door.
"I'll get it auntie!"
"Ok thanks." I say and rush to check everything.

"AUNTIE!!!!!ITS FOR YOU!" I hear Zoey scream.
"Ok coming, thanks sweetie." I walk up to the door and see a really really hot guy, with black hair and brown eyes, nice body and looks around the same age as me. And he's looks a little tan. Stop checking him out!!!

"I'm Jessica Jackson, how may I help you?" I ask trying to forget that I was totally checking him out.
"I'm here to take you to the place your father mentioned on the phone earlier today." He says with no interest to be doing this.

"Oh ok, just let me finish up real quick and I'll be ready. Why don't you come in and wait?"

"Sure thing ma'am."
"Oh please call me Jess."
"Ok, Jess." He says with a somewhat flirty tone, ohhh me likey.

I go to my room and triple check to make sure I got everything I need. Once I'm done I go to the kitchen and see Mr. hot is sitting waiting.

"All right now Zoey make sure to water the plants and please don't start a fire." I know she won't, I just like to tease her.

"Yes, yes, I know. Bye come back soon. Zoey says then gives me a hug. I pat her head. "Will do."
After I say bye I head out side and see a car. Mr. Hot takes my bag and puts it in the trunk, I get in the car and he starts driving.

"So where are we going?" I ask trying to break the silence.
"We're going to  the airport."
"Why?" It slipped out of my mouth before I could stop it. What a dumb question.
"Cause they have the cutest dog there, why else do you think, we're going on a plane." He says with an annoyed tone. Great mad he is  mad! "Right...." I laugh awkwardly. "So were are we going after we get in the plane?" I ask.
"Florida." Is all he says.
"Oh cool.."
And then silence......again.

We get to the airport after a very awkward drive. We get through everything and get on the plane and take our seats. I get the window, yeah! Note the sarcasm. I close the window and take my seat. And after every one else is on we take off, and I keep calm somehow.

I just start thinking trying to keep my mind off of how high we are, I might have a slight fear of heights. Anyway I think and think and somehow managed to realize I don't know Mr. hots name.

"Sooo.. what's your name?" I tilt my head when I asked him.

"It's Zeke."

"Wow that's a rare name..."
"Do you not like it or something?" He ask with the annoyed tone again. Great.

"No! Just that you don't hear that name often, it's usually Jacob, or Jordan, or billy, not Zeke. Oh but I like Zeke! Uh anyway.... I think it's a nice name." I finally end my stupid babbling. I decided that I can't keep  calm, so I figure I'll take a nap, I'm tired so I don't need my sleep pills.
"I'm gonna take a nap, can you wake me up if I'm still asleep when we land?"
"Sure."
"Thanks Zeke." And with that I lean on the closed window and fall asleep.
