BROKEN HEARTED

6. DECISION

A week had passed after the intimate encounter with Adrian but he keeps avoiding me.

I was worried I did something wrong and that I was going to lose my job because of it
I wish we could go back to the way we were at the dinner party because I missed that side of Adrian.

I don't think he allows anyone see that side of him so for him to show it to me I thought or should I say felt that maybe I was special.
Such a way to crumble a girls hope.

I heaved a sigh when I couldn't think about the reason behind behind his attitude anymore and decided that since he's playing this game I would join him in doing so.

I texted Collins that we could meet up after work today because I felt we had a lot to talk about and also because he hadn't stop blowing up my phone after the party. I wanted to see him to end things with him and to tell him to stop calling me.
He didn't hesitate in replying that he would be there to pick me up after work.

It was almost 5 and I was getting ready to leave when I saw Collins coming out of the elevator. I gave him a nod signifying that I'm almost ready but he passed me and went into Adrian's office. The curiosity I felt was overwhelming, I wanted to know what was happening inside the office and I couldn't call Val to lay down my frustrations since she isn't keen on me seeing Collins at all.

After a while he came out and guided me towards the elevator by placing his hand on my waist. I felt really uncomfortable but shrugged it off since he was only being a gentleman.
We left and I kept on pressuring him on where he's taking us to but I keep getting "it's a surprise" as an answer so I gave up and allow Collins take us to the place of his choice.

When we got to the restaurant i remembered it immediately

*Flash back*

"Miss what are u ordering" the waiter who had a cute smile asked me
"Erm I'll just take pasta pls and shrimp should be added too" I replied with a smile of my own and he left.

And then I turned to take in the view outside from the glass when my eyes landed on a gorgeous man coming out from his car. He entered into the restaurant and went to order and another guy wearing black followed him immediately and stood at his back pretending to order while stealing the gorgeous man wallet. I watch the scene unfold and when the thief was about to leave I stood up feeling irritated so I can confront him.

"Could you kindly return that man's wallet" I seethed through my teeth
The thief caught on and pushed me away trying to run so I kept my leg in front of him leaving him to tumble on the floor.

I bent down, took the wallet and gave it to the Man who stood there surprised and dumbfounded about what just happened. He said his name was Collins and we exchanged contact feeling as though a friendship could brew. I left the restaurant smiling.

*End of flashback*

"You remembered" I heard Collins voice breaking me from my trance. I looked at him and all the hurt came back.
He tossed everything we've sacrificed for each other away and for what pleasure. I felt the tears coming back, I shook my head in disbelief at myself wanting to cry again for the asshole

"Yes I remembered Collins I wouldn't forget" I replied sacarstically
He smiled and led me to our table. The waiter came and I just ask for water because I didn't want to stay long anyways.

"Look Collins I don't know what you are trying to pull by coming here but i assure you it won't work" I said to him
" I'm not pulling anything Rad I simply just wanted to take you out for a nice treat since you used to love the shrimp of this place" he smiled

"Well I only came to tell you that you should stop calling, texting or coming to see me. I don't want you back in my life as a matter of fact I want you far away from it" I stated

"Rad I want you to give me another chance I know I messed up before but I believe destiny brought us together again for a reason"
I scoffed

" Destiny you say"? Collins I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore so pls leave me alone"!! I was fuming with anger, how dare he mention destiny. He was about answering when my phone rang, I picked it up to see it was my boss calling. "Sorry I have to take this" I stood up and went out.

"Hello sir" no answer "hello" still no reply
"Mr Gerrard can you hear me"? I was about hanging up when his sweet groggy voice came through the phone.

"Where are you miss Powers" he slurred
"Mr Gerrard are you drunk"?
"Drunk no no no no " his voice came back high pitched. He's definitely drunk
" Where are you sir" I tried asking
"Where am I"? "Like you care" he said
I rolled my eyes "Can you try giving the phone to someone sir"
"That I can do" he retorted

"Hello"
"Yes pls what is the name of the club you are right now pls"
"This is LUST" The other voice came. I quicky whispered a thank you.

I went into the restaurant to grab my purse "sorry Collins something urgent came up, I already said what I needed to say and hope you would do that"

"I would chase you till I die Rad mark my words" I shivered at his words but shrugged it off and went out to hail a cab going to LUST.
I pondered about what Collins said and this time I think Val was right about Collins he would be a big trouble.

When I got to the club, Adrian wasn't hard to find because he was far by the most handsome man at the club. I walked to the VIP lounge and saw him there really drunk.
"Mr Gerrard you have to sober up, so I can take you home"
"Radiance is that you" he asked?
"Yes it's me sir you have to try and get up" I tried pulling him up
"Did my prayers just got answered right now" I didn't have time to ask him what prayer I just wanted to get him home

I called for the driver and we entered the car to his house. It was a penthouse and was so beautiful. We entered through the glass doors and the security slightly nodded, I nodded back at them.

The driver already told me he stays at the last floor so I just took him there after much hassle. I kept him in his bedroom, took off his shoes tie and shirt leaving him only in his pantsuit. Man he was gorgeous I couldn't tear my eyes away from his body. I fanned my face with my hands because it was literally getting hot in there.

After making sure he's alright I kept Tylenol with a glass of water and a written note on his night stand. I was about going when I felt a tug on my hand, I looked back to him writhing in his sleep.
"Don't go please don't go"
"Stay with me" he said "I don't want to stay alone"
I looked at him and gently crouched to his level.

"Mr Gerrard you have to let go of me okay" he drew me and I face planted on his chest. I heaved a sigh and decided to stay against my better judgement and slept close to him, he turned and held me close so that I could feel his hot breath and his heartbeat.

I decided I would wake up early in the morning before him and leave, after all what could go wrong.
Little did I know.
