THE MEETING, THE KISS

Radiance POV

I can't believe I was concerned about that rude, arrogant jerk for a minute, who threw me out of his house like garbage after all I did for him. Come to think of it what was I expecting "Oh thanks for bringing me home miss powers, you are a rare gem"
Hmph even thinking about it, it doesn't look like it's going to come out of that jerk's mouth.

After he left for home, I packed my things since I didn't have much left to do. Went home, took a shower and slipped on my Mickey mouse pajamas, yes it's childish I know but I love them.

I woke up the next morning, took a shower and wore an emerald almost kneel length dress coupled with white stilettoes. I let my hair fall freely to my back, do a nude makeup and was ready for the day.
On my way to work, I stopped by my favorite coffee shop to get my regular caramel coffee and left. Trying to open my car, something flashed my eyes on a magazine vendor along the street.

I picked up the magazine and was blown with what I saw.
"Samantha Wyatt, daughter of Austin Wyatt getting married to the most eligible bachelor Adrian Gerrard, this is a shock and also a sad news to many of the women who has their eyes on him. It's not confirmed if this marriage is for business or pleasure" I zoned out the rest of the write up, well here starts a bad day.

I know I shouldn't be sad because Adrian and I have nothing, but the connection I feel towards him, I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way, then why is he getting married. I got in my car, took my frustrations out on the steering wheel and drove the rest of the way to work.

I came down from my car and walked into the building with a fake smile on my face, I hope they don't notice I'm working too hard to maintain this smile.
I went to the entrance of his office, took a deep breath then knocked, a resonating "come in" was heard outside of the door. I opened and went inside, but all I could see was disheveled hair, rumpled tie probably from all the dragging and pulling, blood shot eyes, hands on the head, he wasn't looking okay to say the least.

"Good morning sir, here's your coffee and congratulations on your marriage" I spoke. His head immediately rose up as if it was going to fall off.
"How do you know about that"? He asked with a strained voice
"Well all the magazines have it on their front page so I don't see why I won't know" I scoffed

He looked perplexed and I wondered why, he dismissed me and I left, I could hear shouting and smashing of something on the floor. I decided to pay it no mind although I was concerned, he has a wife to do that for him now. I hurried to my desk to finish my work.

My work phone rang "Gerrard Corp" I answer with a monotone voice, "erm Radiance some Samantha Wyatt is here to see the boss" Stephanie the receptionist spoke on the other side of the line.
"Hold on Stephanie" I dialled the boss
"Speak" he said
"Sir your fiancee is here to see you" I informed him
"Who"?
"Samantha Wyatt sir" He let out a sigh before giving a low "let her up" as an answer, I almost didn't get it.
"Stephanie let her up" I gave her the bosses order.

I saw a very beautiful, elegant, sophisticated blonde with a 6 inch heels I pray she doesn't fall in that. Her makeup was done to perfection, wow I envy her, I would fall for her if I was a guy. I plastered a fake smile on my face "Good morning miss Wyatt, welcome to Gerrard Corporation, this way" I led her but I got the most rude and annoying reply.

"What is good about the morning"? She looked at me from head to toe as if surveying my appearance before hey eyes landed on my name tag "Radiance" she called my name with disgust.
"And do refer to me as Mrs Gerrard" she walked passed me to Adrian's office and barged in without knocking. Guess u shouldn't judge a book by its cover then. I went to my seat and continued my work when I saw her come out crying.

I resist the urge to laugh as I looked at her while she was glaring at me "What"!! Came her screeching cos I wouldn't call that shouting, she left after pressing the elevator buttons aggressively.

Work phone rang "miss powers in my office now"!!
Uh oh bad day, I hope he doesn't take it out on me.
I knocked at his front door
"Enter"
I went into his office "you called me sir" I spoke
"Yes please don't let Samantha Wyatt into my office again"
"Trouble in paradise"? I asked but quickly regretted my question as he stood up with fury in his eyes.
"And what makes you think there was a paradise miss powers? I pay you here to do a God damn job not meddle in my private affairs, now get out and do your job"

I couldn't hold the tears at bay, it was just falling from my eyes but I refuse to let him see that. I turned to leave but he grabbed me and slam me to the wall looking into my eyes he slammed his lips to mine. I was shocked at first but damn his lips felt good, we both fought for dominance, his hands roam my body before it was situated on my ass.

He grabs it and i gasped giving him the access to dominate me. He took the kiss deeper and shoved his tongue inside my mouth and I sucked. He tasted divine, I tugged on his hair and a groan left his mouth.
Our mouth parted only because we were running out of air.
"Oh how long I've wanted to do that" came his husky voice. I could see the lust in his eyes all for me.

He stroked my cheek, then his forehead creased as though he remembered something, he stumbled back
"You may leave now miss Powers" I was shocked, my mouth was hanged open, I left his office ashamed of myself.

Why did I give in to his kiss, I should have pushed him away. But the way my mouth molded with his, it was perfect as if we were made for each other, my body was on fire and butterflies erupted in my stomach.
I didn't even feel that way with Collins, what's wrong with me I couldn't tell.

The day came to an end and I met Val at the lobby, we both went to my house because Val's parents travelled so she'll be staying with me till they are back.
"So he kissed you"? I nodded as an answer
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Val exclaimed as she started dancing. "I knew it was taking too long"
"What do mean by that Valentina"? I used her full to hint her I was serious

"I mean really? You both eye fuck each other all day at the office, it's only a blind person that wouldn't notice. You have feelings for the man Rad admit it"
"But he's getting married"
"And he kissed you" she said as I facepalm
"This is all so complicated Val"
"There is nothing complicated about this Rad, that guy has feelings for you and as for marriage who knows maybe he's being forced into it. Don't tell me you're this way because of Collins" she eyed me suspiciously

"Fuck no Val, I ended that chapter long time ago" I reasoned with her
"So tell me now how was it"? She asked
I could feel the heat rush to my cheeks and she screamed
"That good?! Rad u are blushing" I literally have to cover my ears from all the screaming, I wonder if her throat isn't itchy.

"I love you Rad and I want you to be happy, if our boss is the reason for your happiness then go for it. Don't u dare withdraw because of your parents or Collins"
"But Val anyone I'm close with leaves me, either with death or otherwise and I don't want to feel broken again"

"I'm here aren't I, I haven't left you, you are my best friend and I love you. Anyone who knows how good your heart is and loves you wouldn't dare leave you" She wiped my cheeks off tears I didn't know existed and pull me into a hug. I bask in the warmth and comfort of my best friend before we both slept off.

   Another update I know!!
   And yaas they kissed, who's excited...
