ADRIAN'S POV

When Collins came to my office, I was really surprised because we aren't even that close. In fact I know him to be a selfish motherfucker who only thinks of himself and his benefits. Nevertheless I welcome him, and offered him a seat.

"Collins I haven't seen u since d party" I said to him
"Yeah I have just been busy, I came for Radiance we're just about to go out now"
"Oh I didn't ask for the details though, anyways is she your girlfriend or something"? I asked I wouldn't lie I was a little bit curious.

"No she's my ex actually but I'm trying to rekindle everything we had and have seen how you look at her I would like to tell you to back off now or I'll sue you for employer employee relationship. And remember that little thing I have that could put you in jail for the rest of your goddamn life so stay away from radiance"

"You know what Collins, get out of my office you piece of shit, I don't want to fucking see u near my building again got that"? I was so angry right now that I could beat him to a pulp right here in my office. He smirked and left

I look out my window and saw him and my PA entering his car with his hand on her waist where mine was at the party. I've been trying to avoid her because I didn't want to have anything to do with my PA to avoid any scandal, looks like I don't have to worry about that anymore.

A sigh escaped my lips and I totally needed a drink so I left and went to a club I own LUST

"Two shot of whiskey neat" I told the bartender at the VVIP area. He hurriedly poured the drinks for me which I downed immediately feeling the burning sensation of the alcohol.

I don't know how many I drank but then I saw this beautiful lady who looks like radiance, God must have answered my prayers.
I don't know what I feel for her yet, but I wouldn't call it love, it might just be mere attraction for now which should be easy to end.

Everything was now turning black, I couldn't see or address my surrounding till I gave up and slept.

I woke up this morning with a headache, I was trying to move out of the bed but found my hand draped over someone, it felt unreal at first but when I turned the person whose back was face to me, I saw a pure angel sleeping peacefully. Her brunette hair cascaded over her body with drool at the side of her mouth, God she was so beautiful

Her lips so inviting, I could kiss those for hours and wouldn't want to catch my breath.
Migraine broke me out from my lustful thought and I winced causing the sleeping beauty to wake up. I turn to my side to see a glass of water and Tylenol. I took it and prepared myself to turn back to my bossy self.

"I'm so sorry sir, I didn't mean to sleep off like this, I just didn't expect to doze off. I was going to wake up before you did and go home"

Okay she was rambling now and it isn't good for the migraine. "Miss powers I called to her without receiving any response except her rambling.
"Miss powers, miss powers"!! " Could u keep quiet for a second and let me talk" she nodded.

"Okay this" I pointed to the both of us "never happened, I want you to forget all about it and be professional, do I make myself clear" For a moment I saw emotions I couldn't decipher pass through those grey eyes. Was it hurt, or sadness I couldn't place it then came her reply "Yes sir"
She quickly took her belongings and left without another word.

I hurriedly dash to the bathroom, to a cold shower because to be honest waking up with a hard wood isn't how I planned waking up today.

After my shower, I took a black Gucci boxers with my suit and wore them.
I love watches so I usually take my time I'm picking out one. I scan through my different collections of watch and settled on my gold Rolex watch. Wore my deodorant, quickly ruffled my hair cuz I was not really in the mood for anything today. I took my keys and took the elevator downstairs, I saw Mr Charles my driver had already took the car out front so I just entered.

"Mr Charles, do you have any idea on what happened yesterday at the club"?
"Well sir, you were very drunk but your PA came to the rescue and we took you home, after that I don't know anything that happened upstairs".
"Okay" I answered with a monotone voice. I didn't even get the chance to thank her, well I already told her she should forget about it so no need to go there anymore.

I got to Gerrard Corps, took the elevator upstairs and saw miss powers already waiting for me, how she managed to get here before me still baffles me.
"Good morning sir, here's your coffee" she placed it at my desk. I saw a flash of concern on her eyes before it quickly went back to a professional stare.

"You have a meeting with samarico internationals to discuss the worth of the company, you also have a meeting with the new chief of staff of this country sir"
"Oh and your parents called, said you should be at their home by 8pm for dinner"

"My parents"? I asked her
"Yes sir and that will be all sir" she said and left after I nodded.
Why would my parents ask for me for dinner because as far as I'm concerned they don't ask for me except they want something from me. I was left in my own thought.

After drinking my coffee I felt relief from the hangover and started work.
I went through my meetings successfully so today was good I would say.
It was 5pm when miss powers came to my office to tell me she was leaving for the day, I waved her off because frankly seeing my parents today still bothers me. I hear the click of my door signifying that she left.

I took my suit jacket, wore it and left to my house. I took a shower, put on a dress shirt and plain jeans. I took my car after signalling Charles to go home, I drove to my parents house.
I walked into the home I grew up in, not many good memories here though. Sighing I walked to the living room perceiving the sweet aroma of lasagna coming from the kitchen. On getting to the living room I saw my dad and greeted.

"Welcome son have seat, your mother will be done soon" I took a seat when my mother came in what's the brightest smile.
She was the light in my dark tunneled life. "Welcome home honey" she chimed
"Patrick bring your son to the dining room let's have dinner" she said to my father.

We all gathered inside the dining where we ate. I Always love my mother's cooking, she was the best. After eating my dad took me to his study.
"Son I invited you here to give you a vital information but let's wait till your mother gets here" That left me pondering be on what seems to be important when my mom stepped in.

"Adrian, you are no longer a child" comes my father's voice
"You are 33 right now and I would like for you to get married so I can see my grandchildren before I die. Your sister be Ellie will be coming from the next month and I'm in telling her the same thing because you both are not kids anymore".

"So in respect to that, I made a deal with Wyatt corps, you would be marrying their daughter Samantha Wyatt. she will be here tomorrow for dinner and I expect nothing less than for you to be here on time and assure her you are in this together"
My dad was smiling, he just dropped a bombshell on me and was smiling.
Being in shock is an understatement as to what I'm feeling right now.
Let me rephrase the statement I made earlier because today turned out not to be good after all.
