A couple of things before you read: First, this one isn't too great, but I haven't written in a week so I felt that I had to write something. Second i'm changing the perspective of the story a bit, it's going to be in first person. Tell me if it's better or worse, or even if you just have any commentary or suggestions. Thanks!

My heels clacked against the marble floor as I walked down the corridors of the palace, leading to the main room. Upon entering I realized that Loki wasn't there yet. I sat down in one of the few chairs that were scattered around the room. I began feeling extremely nervous, and started chewing on the inside of my cheek, skin peeling a bit. When I heard footsteps, I immediately jumped out of my chair, straightened out my dress, as a smile spread across my face. When I realized it wasn't Loki, instead Thor, I let out a small sigh and the smile fell from my lips.
"Oh, it's just you." I said, dissappinted.
"Well, it's nice to see you too." Thor said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes while responding.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. I was just expecting somebody else." He let out a loud whistle after observing my current attire.
"I see that. You look beautiful!" I couldn't hold back my smile.
"And might I ask just who this lucky man might be?" He said, raising an eyebrow.
"It's not really important, Thor." I responded, feeling self-conscious of what he would think if he knew I was going on a date with Loki.
"Not important?" I gave a curt nod of my head. "Oh yes, because you spent hours getting ready, trying to look nice for someone who's not important." I looked down, cheeks blushing, to my cream heels, knowing he was on to me.
"Really Thor. It doesn't matter." I felt guilty, lying straight through my teeth.
Loki and I had liked each other for a very long time, but we never made anything official, and this was our first date together. And though most everyone knew about our feelings towards each other, I was just nervous about how they would treat me once they discovered that we made our relationship official. In all honesty, I was the most worried about what Thor would think. He had been my friend for multiple years, and like everyone else, he knew about my feelings for Loki, but unlike everyone else, he resented it more strongly. You see, Loki has the reputation as an "outcast", for many of the past rebellious acts he's had, and for his true birth origins. Thor had always tried to persuade me to like someone else, and to get over him, because he "knows Loki's true self" and "doesn't want me to get hurt".
"Please just leave Thor." You'll meet him eventually, after all it's your brother.
More footsteps were heading down the hallways towards us, and I felt a sinking sensation in my heart when I saw Thor's face as Loki entered.
"Abigail!" He said, excited. He came to me and delicately placed his hands on my waist, taking in my attire. "You look...stunning!" A smile was plainly displayed across his face.
"As do you!" And it was true, he really did look nice. He wore an Asgardian suit, with his hair slicked back. It was his traditional style, and I realized just how handsome he was, as a blush creeped to my cheeks.
Anxiousness gnawed at me as Loki met eyes with Thor, and a cold glare was exchanged.
"Hello Thor."
"Loki." A silence fell across the room, so tense I was afraid of breaking it. "I see you're the one taking Abigail on a date." His expression changed none.
"Indeed, I am." He did not move his hands from my waist, instead he tightened them, bringing me closer, obviously determined to stand his ground. I looked back at Thor, and his gaze shifted from Loki to me. His eyes were rock hard, and his stance was rigid, clearly upset with both of us. He had warned me time and time again to give him up, and here I am, going on a date with him.
"I don't believe Odin has given you permission to ask her on a date." Odin was more my father than Loki's, and he completely fine with that.
"Odin does not run my life. He isn't my father." There was another moment of silence, so quiet I could hear my own heart beating, before Thor spoke again.
"Then I suppose the action falls to me." I saw a sense of authority in his eyes, while anger flared up in Loki's. I felt Loki go rigid.
"Please jut do it." I whispered. He looked me in the eyes for a moment, before he asked.
"May I have your permission to take Abigail on a date?" He asked through clenched teeth. Giving Thor some sense if power and authority literally hurt Loki. I held my breath, waiting for what Thor would say, although I already knew.
"No." There was an overwhelming sense of finality in his voice, as if nothing could change his mind.
"Well then, I'll just have to go without your permission." Loki quickly spun on his heel, as he grabbed my hand, gentle but firm, out of the doorway.
I looked back over my shoulder as I left, and felt ashamed of myself for denying Thor's wishes. His eyes were rock hard, and chilled me to the bone, and I knew they said 'Then dont come back.'
